Dear fellow boxing misfits, scoundrels and vagabonds, Tonight is christmas eve for the hardcore boxing fan who deliciously anticipates a real test for Floyd Mayweather jr in which his claim to pound for pound greatness will finally be tested fighting a genuine big man with a comparable skill set. Watching 24/7 and the leadup I think Shane has psychologically owned Floyd from the moment he hopped into the ring and disrespected him after Marquez to Face Off with Max Kellerman where he pointed out that Floyd was once a pimply fan who wished he could be like Mosley. Floyd seems to be psychologically destructing and engaging in ludicrous personal attacks on Mosley his clothes, tattoo, hair, age, wealth and relentless and boring steroids insinuations which body language experts would tell you is a no brainer that Floyd is worried about Mosleys strength and power. Floyd hasn't fought a geniune power puncher since Corrales in 2001 and is about to face the moment of truth. Lets examine Floyds last 5 years and 7 opponents with a clear and fair eye and bearing in mind that Floyd has been a genuine welterweight 147 lbs for 5 years now - its his natural fighting weight. - Juan Manuel Marquez - Gave the Pacman fits at 130. He weighed 142 and Floyd came in 146. Verdict: Good name for comeback fight but beating up a much smaller fighter with limited power at welter. Another example of a good big man beats a good little man. - Ricky Hatton - Another junior welter blown up to welter. Gritty but with limited defence for genuine speedsters. Caught Kostya in a 2am British beer barn but his only other excursion to 147 was a gift to Collazo. Another example of a good big man beats a good little man. - Oscar De la hoya - Completely solved the Floyd riddle in the first 6 rounds till he ran out of gas. Split D. No blueprint my sphinx. - Carlos Baldomir - The ultimate tailor made opponent to look good. Slow with mediocre defence and a great chin. No threat, no learning. - Zab Judah - His speed gave Floyd enormous trouble with Dave Moretti scoring 116-112. More a natural junior welter so again a big man on a smaller man. Also ran out of gas - Shane is much fitter than Zab. - Shamba Mitchell - Shot junior welter. Like a year 12 v year 10 fight. - Arturo Gatti - Like a year 12 v year 9 fight. There is nobody on Floyds CV that remotely brings to the table what Mosley brings to the table tomorrow as far as speed, power and size. Floyd came in at 146 and Mosley will walk in at 155 so it will be a bigger, faster, stronger man against a guy with great defence. But to score Floyd is going to have to take major risks and come inside and is going to take some serious shots on that potentially glassy chin. I think Mosley by decision at $10.00 is the easiest money you will earn this year. 1 more sleep till we find the truth about the Pretty boy. DSS
Has Mosley fought anyone as skilled as Floyd ? Is Mosley 38 yrs old ? Did Mosley look awful 2 fights ago against Mayorga ? Has Mosley been out of the ring for 15 or 16 months ? Floyd will win this fight by comfortable/easy UD. I think a lot of people are picking Mosley with their heart rather than their head.
DSS when Money beats Shane they will say its like a 25 year old fighting a 50 year old.....thats what it will look like after 5 :yep
Dont get me wrong....I like Shane and he is very good...but Money is just too quick and defensive for anybody. People will say Shane was passed it when Money beats him today.
I've been dudded I took $4 off Sportsbet. But as they say ' any price is a good price about a winner "
The upset brewed for a moment... Then it boiled out. Mosley was out of gas from 1 round worth of momentum. Shame, but it's as expected. It begs the question, from me anyway, would Pac gas out after an opportunity like that?
When will I learn to bet with my head and not my heart ? Mayweather way too good. Too fit, too fast, too skillful. I reckon he carried Mosley the last few rounds. Very impressed with 19 year old Mexican welter Saul Alvarez in his 9th round stoppage of Jose Cotto.
