...DAMN I feel good for Shane Mosley!!!

I thought he got jobbed against Cotto (Cotto ran the last 4 rounds, IMO), and the more you thought about this fight the better the matchup looked. I wrote that a few weeks back and I'll try to dig up the post. I went from "Gosh, I hope Shane isn't humiliated" to "this is a good match-up and there are real ways for Shane to win the fight."

Did I think Shane could win by KO? Today, I thought there might be a slight possibility but I wouldn't have ever -- never -- made anything like that kind of prediction. I didn't listen to the HBO feed (turned sound down) but I'm sure they said, correctly, that Shane just has the right tools to match up with Margo that other WW's not named Paul Williams (and Shane's tools are different than Williams', obviously) do not.

No excuses for Margo -- he just got beat and beat down. He'll be back, and the second fight could be even bigger than the first if there's ever a rematch.

All props to Shane Mosley. Yeah, BALCO, etc. I love Shane and I'm extremely happy for him tonight. This fight shuts everybody up that tried to run him down or out of the sport.

Digging up the old post will have to wait, I guess, as searching is presently disabled.

:rofl Why would there ever be a Mosley-Margarito rematch ? Is there need for DLH-Pacquiao,Peter-Vitali,Hopkins-Pavlik rematches ? This was even more one sided and brutal them any of them ****ing combined.

I agree with your point, but I'm sure Margarito will seek out a rematch and why wouldn't Shane take it? That's my guess.

I haven't followed that angle yet as I was watching the Affliction MMA fight card after the boxing match ended. I heard the 'plaster like substance' in the gloves but I don't know the validity or not of that yet.

No Point in a rematch, anyone who even thinks Margarito should fight again does not give 2 ****s about his well being.

Me personally would like to see him retire.

He didn't just get stopped he got beat down

I do not feel bad for Margarito. You think he cares when he beats someone up? He is a good fighter, but Mosley had a great style. I could see this happening in my mind.

He will never be the same. He was knocked out by a light puncher sort of. Margarito might come back, but never be the same.

Shane is 37 why would he even consider a rematch ? Hes got Cotto and Mayweather on his mind now. Shane only gave him rematches to DLH who he beat narrowly and Vargas which was close fight although Vargas had 1 eye. Margarito had his eyes and got beat every secound of every round no reason to waste time on a rematch that could end Margaritos life.

I could co-sign this thread 100% except i thought Cotto beat Mosley legit 115-113 clear as day
