Not really. But why should he stop if it's been working for him for all these years without anyone doing anything about it?
It's not that at all. There have been plenty of HW fighters that had great strength and size but didn't spoil fights and hold excessively, to the point that it could get you DQ'd if you happened to not have your personal ref to accommodate you. That's not to say a smaller fighter trying to work his way inside can't beat him. It just means it's made much more difficult as a result of tactics that technically aren't even legal. I never believed Povetkin to have the skills to beat Wlad. It's going to take someone with Wilders physical attributes to have the best shot of beating Wlad, someone who isn't going to be held for the entire fight and has insane power, who can apply a lot of pressure. The problem with Wilder is that he doesn't have the skill to go along with his physical assets.
so your saying these big heavyweight fighters all they need to do is clinch and they would be as good as wlad damm maybe Tony Thompson should of done that or valuev and they would of been top heavies it has nothing to do with wlad being much better then everyone else...no..no he's just too big, too strong... not fair..:|
Wilder <----------------------- :rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl the guy has fought 1 or 2 people ever in the top 100. and no lower than #70 the guy is the biggest joke ever.
I recognize Wlad's boxing ability. He's highly skilled, no doubt. I don't see anyone on the boxing horizon able to beat him (and I said Wilder doesn't have the skill to match up with his physical assets, implying he doesn't have what it takes to beat Wlad, learn to read). Wlad's just mastered clinching, holding, and leaning to the point that it's a very effective tactic for him to use, even if it is illegal. Don't even try to dispute that. Nobody does it like he does. I suppose that's another 'skill' he does better than most HW's. And that's what this entire argument was about in the first place. Him clinching too much, beyond what is technically allowable. so wtf are you even talking about?
