Acosta, Antillon, Murray: that's 3 top 5 LW stoppages on the bounce. He'll move up soon enough but whilst he fights between 133 and 137 there's no better LW in the world today considering Marquez left the division 18 months ago.
Has anyone said Rios is a great lightweight? I don't think he is but the guys you listed don't really make sense. Soto is fighting Matthyse and gave up his LW belt. Marquez is chasing Pac and gave up his LW belts. De Marco has only just come on the scene with a victory over a guy that got blasted out by a journeyman. Atleast use guys like Vasquez, Mitchell, Burns etc.
No, the fact that he can't make the LW limit automatically disqualifies him from being "the best LW in the world". The limit is 135, not 137.
He should be fighting at 140..case closed! Everyone knows this, so as soon as he beats this guy the better.
Brandon just does not have the weight to lose. It was a bad decision of his team to have him stay at 135. Brandon was around 139 two days before the weigh in. They planned on having him fast with some water the day before the weigh in. He lost 2 pounds doing that but the last 2 pounds would not come off. He just cannot hit 135 anymore. They took a risk and it just did not pay off. Brandon risked his health to try to get his title back. In hindsight it was an ill fated risk. I worry about him in this fight but I know his heart and determination. He will win or die trying. WAR RIOS!!!
I'm not his promoter nor part of his team so I don't know. Soto went through a stage of fighting bums though and has consistently avoided top level opposition (has he fought the top guys in any division actually?) De Marco has literally only just hit the scene and before that had been stopped by psycho valero and with Rios moving up it looks unlikely to happen. Marquez fought Kats who was higher ranked than Rios. since then JMM has chased Pac all throughout Rios's time as a top 5 operator. He beat Acosta in feb 11. Marquez has been fighting at welter and junior welter ever since then. The 3 guys you listed haven't really been feasible at all.
I don't agree with you sorry, first off I'm not a "gay *****" secondly I'm not so harsh to judge Rios or any fighter as a "****ing bum" simply because of weight issues. Rios and his team are being unprofessional, that I can agree with you on, but to write him off say I hate him and call him a bum for something so silly is a ***** move. And finally Brandon will have much stiffer compeitition @140 lbs. that's true, he might even experience his first loss if he fights all the top guys. However I honestly don't believe a kid this tough "will get his ass handed to him" by anybody at 140. I think he has a excellent chance of running the gauntlet so to speak, as long as he keeps improving. To sum it up don't be such a hater homie.
if he don't have the weight to lose he should have been more professional about it. any fighter failing to make the weight on the scales is unprofessional imo.
well if you think those 2 pounds make a difference as to who the better man is, that's up to you. I personally don't, especially considering what they hydrate to come fight night.
It was not a smart move for his career, so yes that makes it unproffesional. Brandon's pride got the best of him. He wanted his title back more than anything else. Hopefully after this he can let that all go. His future is at 140.
How in the hell do you get me comparing Rios to B-Hop? atsch I said I support both fighters, how you come up with myself comparing the 2 is ****ing scarey. :scaredas:I think your hate might be making you comprehend **** the way you want to see it, so you can hate some more. :think
Who said he was a ****ing bum simply because of weight issues? :think "He might even experience his first loss if he fights all the top guys" at 140? Yeah, that's an understatement.
