I would prefer Kelly to win. I just think Hopkins will be too cunning for Pavlik & can't see Kelly really being able to vary his attacks. Hopkins will switch between counter punching from afar or the ropes which he does very well and close quarters infighting after he jumps forwards as he likes to do. Whatever he does he won't allow Kelly to stand to to toe and box. Kelly pushing him back just works to Hopkins favour. I might be wrong. I hope I'm wrong but I can't see i so my prediction is Hopkins to win probably on points but I wouldn't rule out a KO I see it as a distinct possibility. @ 160 this fight might possibly have been different but the truth is I just don't see the variety in Pavlik. Whatever he does works and that's great & I really hope it works here....I just can't see it. Someone bump this thread tomorrow if I'm wrong.
Pavlik losing will be the best thing for his career. I think he is getting overconfident and complacent and if he lost he would come back a much stronger fighter.
I'm also picking Hopkins but even if it's a close yet fair and clear win for Hopkins they will give it to Pavlik, as long as it's close I think that will happen. It's fair to say that probably no one wants Hopkins to win this fight and taking advantage of such situations is very typical in boxing. Whoever wins I just hope it's a fair clear result.
If Hopkins wins this fight we would have seen some of the younger B-Hop B-Hop by UD he knows what this will do for his legacy
Since Pav is a local, I watch him closely. You are going to have to offer some proof of the over confident and complacent. He trained for 8 weeks for this fight. He does training that leaves his arms in a condition that makes it hard for him to drive home. Don't get your news from the haters here.
Shameless bump because I almost got this spot on while most 'professional' writers go it so wrong /gloat
My prediction was better, i even said he would make him look like a novice. I should be writing the articles here, you might aswell crown the Hayemaker HW Champ with me hyping him.
