I simply cannot see Calzaghe beating Jones in their upcoming fight, call me crazy but I simply don't - here's a few reasons why off the top of my head: 1) Jones is just as fast if not faster now, Joe's speed has dropped considerably in recent years 2) Jones is naturally bigger 3) Jones hits harder 4) Jones may have a soft chin but Joe can't punch anymore with conviction 5) Jones is just as fit stamina-wise 6) Jones is always in shape but Joe only trains hard in the month or two leading up to a fight now and lets himself go between that time 7) Jones is promoting this fight 8 ) Its in America 9) Jones has more reason to win, beating Joe puts him atop the P4P again whereas Joe is motivated by money nowadays 10) Beating Joe also gives Jones kudos for beating Hopkins again who avoided a rematch to maintain status all those years 11) Jones is a very accurate puncher and will have studied Joe & his patented style of ducking to the left while coming forwards just as Hopkins did and look how close that was The only factor I see against Jones is the leaning against the ropes and Joe's barrages however I think Jones has the power, speed and reach be able to stave off such attacks and having been in the sport for such a time will know & have studied Joe so will hopefully not make such a mistake
agree.. I even thought hopkins could have got the decision over joe. then maybe we would have had hopkins vs jones ll now!
9) Jones has more reason to win, convinced that beating Joe puts him atop the P4P again whereas Joe is motivated by money nowadays and is looking to retire..... There's the clincher. Both have equal chances but the above will determine the outcome.... Jones will win.
I think he can too. As Hopkins showed, Joe is a sucker for a straight right hand lead, Jones' money punch. If Roy lets his hands go, I can see him eking out a decision, possibly stopping Joe late. If not, chances are Roy gets outworked and loses by decision. Either way, I think this fight will at least be "aesthetically pleasing" as Brian Kenny would say, unlike Hopkins-Calzaghe.
If you didn't think Froch was the second coming of Jesus I would actually read what you wrote, however your opinion sucks and I have no time to read your worthless ****.
If Jones could follow up after he throws the right he'll win. He has to come in motivated and confident that he could win.
