I think what gives Joshua the advantage vs the crop is his planted weight power like Canelo. Joshua will train and move to avoid Wilder’s right and faints. Also Wilder’s hooks have a lot speed and range.

But what Joshua has to rattle Wilder is inside fighting to the body, setup, and go for the uppercuts.

Bodywork will give AJ the edge. Anybody else agree. Wilder is dangerous, but I think inside brawling from AJ is his Achille’s heel.

Going to the body against Wilder is dangerous , one should just stick to straight body shots from outside.

uppercuts aren't advised either . Unless they're follow up punches, but throwing lead upper cuts isn't smart.

These punches give Wilder an opening .

Joshua can win easily with a simple jab and follow it with combinations up top . The key to beating Wilder is throwing at him , I have no clue what fighters train for against him ?

You have guys ducking below waist lines with their head down, and throwing lazy left upper cuts and actually waving him on in the process , giving him opportunities to win.

Ortiz is the only top guy that actually used advanced thinking , knew to hit Wilderl off balance with stiff arms and knew how to make WILDER reset hitting him with combos ,or throwing them while staying out of his range. His down fall was he ran out of steam a bit.

Joshua will back Wilder up and I think the punch that will hurt Wilder will be the left hook and that's the beginning of the end.

Fair point. I feel at range Wilder will have the jump on AJ.

At close range, AJ's powerful + fast combinations will seriously put a dent on Wilder. Inside AJ beats Wilder.

I think Wilder's game plan should be too keep AJ mid to long range distance.

I agree with this. Joshua just needs to do what he does, protect his chin, be systematic, work from behind the jab and Wilder will inevitably give him an opening because his defence is shyte. As the fight goes on Wilder is going to start looking worse and worse until the simple accumulation of damage makes him crumble. If feather fist Fury managed to swell Wilder's face up with some relatively average powered counterpunches, Joshua will do a job on him.

The way I see Joshua beating Wilder is by working by a stiff jab then parrying Wilder's own. If he does this well he should be able to land a nice counter punch and get inside, where he should keep Wilder's arms pinned (which he would be able to do much easier with a UK ref) and hurt him to the body with hooks before ripping uppercuts to the head.

But Wilder in that strategy has at least 3 chances to land a big right and end Joshua's plans

What AJ does well is reading leaping hooks from a distance, with Klitchko having been more fast than Wilder imo from the outside. Of course Wlad and Wilder are completely different, but looking at most of Wilder’s fights from the inside, and particularly against Fury, I think AJ has better inside IQ and will find openings when to strike.

I feel AJ’s uppercuts are very underrated.

AJ’s weight will also play a vital role in clinching, tiring Wilder more than the Ortiz outing.

Sure Ortiz is heavy handed, but AJ more heavy handed than Ortiz and improves each fight.

Joshua's uppercut is his best punch. This isn't feather-fisted Fury or old man Ortiz, he'll be on his arse quicksmart.

If Joshua comes in with the same ‘supplement’ regimen as he had running through him against 41 year old Wlad, he’ll decapitate Wilder.

Wilder is more dangerous on the outside then inside. Take away his range and he is useless - AJ's best chance is to close and get to landing that uppercut.

How's AJ going to fight in the inside? he has no gas to hit all the time, he can hit at best 40% of the time, maybe 50%, will he stay in the distance without hitting? will he go in and out paying the toll to get in the distance once and again and again?

I dont think it is a good idea. But that's jus my opinion, I have been wrong so many times that I lost the count...

Probably one of the best ways to win to wilder is to fake being wobbled, and let him run out of gas. He will just empty his tank because he's too greedy. You fake being wobbled twice, and if you stand the incoming wilder's flurries, he will run out of gas 100% sure, you will only have to harvest him, izi pizi for AJ.

Rough him up and sit on him/tie him up he is limited by his stamina, he tired him self out against fury, it’s not like fury worked him the full fight. This is the reason why I think whyte is an absolute nightmare for him
