I feel like weight in should be at the day of the fight, one hour before

    The entire point of a weight class,is to fight people at that specific weight.
    The fact that you just rehydrate and do everything you can just to show up at fight night several weight classes above, removes the whole point of the weight classes.

    A bit extreme.

    Around noon on fight day would suit me fine.

    Similar to how it used to be. They want rehydration because it was determined (correctly or incorrectly) that dehydration plays into a majority of ring deaths.

    But yeah, I think it makes a mockery of things. I have argued to the death that Usyk's cruiserweight opponents rehydrated into historically massive heavies on the day of the fight. Would guys like Haney, Lopez, and Okolie really have had these great careers if they didn't have the weight bully advantage?
