I've been saying it since 11/07 that if SSM fought Cotto again, he would win. Cotto didn't wanna give SSM the rematch SSM was begging for, thats why he went off and fought cans!
What an incredible turn of events. Of course you can't know for sure, but common sense would tell you that there is a big chance Marg had his hands wrapped illegally when he fought Cotto. And that will never sit well with the public. Mosley gave Marg a masterclass and he deserves all the accolades he gets. Truly a showing of an ATG. I can't help to think of how good this makes Cotto look as he has a close but decisive victory over SSM, and he was clearly outboxing Marg before he went down, which now we suspect (with good reason) was a result of cheating. The fight that has to happen now is Cotto-Mosley II, i don't care what Arum says.
Could anyone here confirm if the accusations are real. Trinidad comes to mind and if I do recall correctly, it was made by the same camp.
went off and fought cans? He fought 2 people since that fight...one of which WAS NOT a can... Gomez arguably had earned his crack at it. But we'll see what Cotto does after the Jennings and Margo...if there isn't a rematch. Then I might question what he's waiting for. But we'll see what happens.
There was a padding underneath the wraps of Margo. They took this padding and kept it as evidence for further review for any illegal plastering substance. Trinidad just used too much wrapping. He basically wrapped the **** outta his hands. They never found anything within the gloves to make him be held accountable for any serious illegal actions. But you are correct in saying it's a bit early to say just yet...but it's undeniable that they found something underneath the gloves that made it horribly suspect as to where his power has been coming from.
We will never know is the truth. What we do know however is that talent wise Margarito is nothing special nor is he indestructible etc. You don't beat Shane Mosley by thinking you are going to outmuscle him.
I heard he's gonna fight someone soon actually...not sure who...but someone most likely unknown. But he went on to fight Margarito...and fell short...for suspicious reasons now... So again...too early to say...we'll see what happens in the future.
:rofl:rofl:rofl Anyways, Gomez was easy pickings for Cotto, thats why he was Cotto's opponent on that card, that card was setup just to showcase AM & Cotto!
