JMM got left out of a big fight this go round but he'll land one by the end of the year. It seems he's going to take a home fight in the mean time and wait for all the other things to play out.

I'm not sure he'll get Pac before the end of the year but its possible. Even if he doesn't get Pac he'll be able to land a fight with someone like Morales, Khan, Bradley, Rios, Petereson, etc depending on how their next fights play out. JMM is in a really good position right now, he seems to have just a couple fights left in him at most and 135-147 is stacked with big names.

I think, he will continue fighting for a few more years, maybe 3 more fights. Marquez has had a great career, only man to beat Pac 3 times, with 5 certified Classic Fights. vs Pac 1 and 2, vs Katsidis, vs Diaz 1, and vs Barrera, Which he all won.

Top Rank is an absolute disgrace and I was furious when JMM robbed, but he can only blame himself, he should've never left GBP for the quick buck. But it's boxing's fault too, that robberies like this can happen. I lost hunger for this whole thing last year, handpicking, politics, robberies. I watch tennis and the best fight the best, period.

He's where he is because he didn't come to knock PAC head off by not leaving it to the hands of the judges...plus he ran like coward Mosley.

he didn't exactly put himself forward for any fights to be fair. i don't think i've heard much from him since Pac3.

Guy got two excellent paydays from Mayweather and Pac 3 as well and morally won his last fight so it does no lasting damage to his resume or reputation as most people believe he won.

He should fight Morales in mexico. he be fancied to win, he can get a belt in his fourth division and the Mexicans would love. i think the fight would sell very well and it would tie up the four fighters (inc Barrera).

Marquez has nothing to prove, **** pacquiao, he already beat him in the last 2 fights they had, possibly all 3 (I never scored their 1st fight), lets just hope Bradley & Cotto do a job on pacquiao & floyd & ends the cancer thats destroying the sport.

Bullshiiiit!!! Lies, and more lies, willing to lose your integrity for the sake of making a man who'd **** you girl, mom, and sister all in one day look good.

What REALLY happened was that they each took a tine up fight... JMM fought Orlando Salido, Pac fough Fashan 3K Battery.

Negotiations for a rematch begun and JMM started negotiations at 1 million dollars..very fair considering their first fight was a great show and there would be more interest in the 2nd fight....

..Anyway, in the mean time two old warriors had just duked it out in a war to claim supremacy for Mexico...Barrera won the triology...Erik Morales was extremely bitter about that...so he goes to Bob Arum (his and JMM's promoter) in an attempt to land an immediate fight with Pacquiao to prove to Mexican fans that he was better than Marco Antonio Barrera... Bob Arum being the GREEDY *******, ***** mother****er that he is decided that having Erik Morales fight Pacquiao would generate more money...So he pushes his lesser known fighter to the side and makes Pac-Morales I.

This is bull**** *******...You're so pathetic how in love you are with another man...get help bro...:-( :yep

Because Pac lost to Morales, the JMM-Pac fight was put on hold until Pac got a rematch with Morales...And even then Pac could still have fought JMM, but Arum would have none of that, not after Pac avenged Morales and now Arum started carefully matching Pac with fighters like Diaz after that...Pac could have had the balls to stand up to Arum and demand he clear the controversial draw, but he knew he was better having Arum pick who he fought.

What did Arum counter offer with??? :think They don't want anything to do with JMM, especially Pac and Arum ;)...JMM ****ed up by trusting Arum again.

    You're so pathetic man.

You have to be a complete moron to believe JMM is 0-3 vs Pacquiao...Even most *******s have jumped ship... the only ones who continue to say JMM lost to Pac are the ones who have absoloutely no life outside of fisting themselves to Pac. :deal

I'm just mad he didn't get Peterson or Bradley. Either one would have been a great win on his resume for a closing out career, and they paired them both up.

Marquez knows at this stage a long lay-off followed by a fight against a top level opponent could be a bridge too far at this stage.I'm sure this is a stay-busy affair so he can tune up his timing and reflexes.I'd still be happy if he went out against Morales because I worry that far inferior opponents at 140 would make the size pay so I'm happy for him to pick his fights carefully and stay away from guys who are natural 140s or guys who will be moving up in the future(e.g Khan,Peterson).I know Rios will move up but the fact that he's fought at 135 for a while and I feel his style is right for Marquez means that he would be a good choice IMO.
Whatever he does,I'm grateful for the fabulous memories.
