I find it amazing that this had to be pointed out by a trainer

Instead of all these threads about "Margarito is a cheat", "Margarito is a dog", "Margarito deserved what he got" . . . . blah blah (and if this is really true it is a total disgrace to the sport), . . . how about putting some responsibility to the boxing commission and the regulators (or lack of) and their apparant lack of policing on this.

I find it completely astonishing that this had to be pointed out by a trainer and not by an official. I am not sure what the procedures are but obviously they need tightening up. I mean really it aint that hard. The only thing that needs to be checked are a fighters hands and I find it mind-boggling that this is not policed properly.

It also now begs the question, how long have fighters been getting away with this ****? I really hope the commission enforces stricter rules and that this fight will ensure future fights follow a proper pre-fight protocol to remove potential "cheats" out there.

    Exactly.

The fact that Richardson already caught 2 guys doing it practically means he's the only one paying any attention to the problem. Otherwise we would probably hear about boxers getting caught with illegal wraps every month. With this kind of control (practically none) who knows how many boxers are doing it.

The blame falls on the boxing commission too! They also didn't actually perform this action! Agreed however that they should admit some blame though
