I find it hilarious when posters say AJ lost to a cruiserweight in Andy Ruiz because of his height. Ruiz weighed 260 + lbs on the night he fought Joshua. Its called a weight class not height class numnuts.
Well, while worshiped in forums saint ali really had beated up a lot of cruserweights, Ruiz is pretty heavy dude. He had beat up this A.J and A.J was down. Ruiz then was not enough fat. Looks that really approx 260 lbs? Fat is cool if not too much for HW boxer. Fury should have 270-300 lbs when he will fight vs A.J. This will help him to maul A.J and press him.
LOL. If he was in proper shape, he would most certainly be a cruiserweight. 99% of heavyweights are not in shape, they carry far too much body fat. In just about every other weight division, boxers are in tremendous shape. The reality is that the heavyweight division would be a scarce place if everyone was in shape. Most of these heavyweights are not natural heavyweights and could easily get down to 200 or under if they were in shape. Usyk is ironically more of a natural heavyweight than many accepted contenders, because he walks around at 215+ with visible abdominals and isn't pumped up. Kubrat Pulev is a natural heavyweight, someone like Danny Williams who was 265lbs for the Tyson fight was/is a natural heavyweight. Andy Ruiz is anything but. He is also a height exaggerator, claiming 6'2'' when he's at least 6cm shorter than that claim.
What posters on here claimed that junk? I find it extra amusing when posters post things that they find hilarious from other posters and fail to call them out by name @Dance84
I find it hilarious when some goons just can’t get over the butthurt over a simple opinion that suggests a fighter who’s grossly out of shape at 260+ lbs(and was probably the single chubbiest champion in the history of the sport, so much that he’d make prime Sam Peter look like David Haye) would make cruiserweight if he was in good shape despite It’s been over a year and a half since the related fight.
Different era though, those cruisers were heavies and legitimately. This is the era of the super heavy, hence the need for the cruiser division. I get your point entirely, but sport changes in time so can't really use that argument. Edit: Messed my post up, useless on the phone...response to surrix's post
Depends upon your definition of in shape. Oscar Rivas is 6 foot and was in shape and about 230lb against Whyte and floored his ass lmao. Ruiz looks like he has quite a bit of muscle under his fat as evident with his latest pictures and videos. Ruiz has always been obese but he looked pretty good against Parker regardless. And him at 250lb of fat doesn't hinder his handspeed or his stamina at all (although he's very slow in terms of foot speed) But Joshua got his ass whooped by somebody who lost to Parker so it's still embarrassing. He's lost some of his fanbase and im glad
