Sky is just part of the Murdoch empire which includes most of the news papers etc. It's not a good idea to cross them if you want your public profile to remain healthy.
The issue what started the rift with Sky was the loss of PPV for a single fight, his management team perceived they were losing income.
PPV has nothing to do with boxing quality and 100% to do with media push and hype.
So to protect PPV revenue you attack the company that controls the majority of the media in your home country atsch
Leaving only ITV - who you left to pursue PPV, and the BBC who openly despise boxing.
