Admittedly, I went to the fight reluctantly because I didn't really want to see this affair between Cotto and Foreman . . . at least not in person. Had it been in the Garden I would not have attended. So I get there and I had great seats on the floor about 20 rows back, the best seats I've been in for a fight, and I'm privileged enough to witness Yuri Foreman display the heart of a champion in the face of adversity. It just made me hearken back to a few weeks ago when we all saw Kermit the Frog Cintron leap out of the ring and feign injury in order not to compete. And then we have yesterday and the total opposite. I have never been a fan of Yuri Foreman's until last night when I saw the kid tough it out under less than ideal circumstances and not try to use them as part of an exit strategy. The guy fought hard, courageously, valiantly and he reminded me of what a real fighter is all about, even in defeat. I look forward to seeing him fight again and I will probably attend again in the future. My hat goes off to Yuri Foreman, a true fighter. P.S. Shame on Kermit Cintron. P.P.S. Stars in attendance at Yankee Stadium yesterday that either me or my boys saw/took photos with . . . Tommy Hearns Ray Mancini Iran Barkley Paulie Mal Bert Sugar Roy Jones Max Kellerman Carrot Top Pacman Mark Coleman
Agreed ..The kid is all heart ..He fought like a champion even in defeat ..Im certainly a new Foreman fan :good
do you think that the knee injury was actually the best thing that could have happened to him the fight was gettin away from him he looked unable to win the rounds but the damaged knee gave him a chance to show the heart he has may even help him to go for it mor ein future fights
