I gained a lot more respect for Floyd after Saturday...

    Two things that gained a lot of respect from me:


    #1 - Ortiz could have badly injured Floyd, and even endangered his career with the way he tried to launch his head into Floyd not once, not twice, but three times. Floyd had enough, and decided that if this guy was going to use underhanded, illegal tactics, he would use underhanded legal ones. And then he had the nerve to kiss him? :fire That **** was more insulting than the ****ing headbutt. No, ***git! Good night. Take this two-piece, your $2.5 Million and get the **** outta here. The party's over.


    #2 - It's about ****ing time someone told Larry Merchant to **** off. I don't give a **** how old he is. :bart If he's too old to take some **** talk, then he shouldn't be in the ring with fighters spewing his hateful biased garbage. **** him. He should have been fired a long time ago. Anyone who can't admit how biased he is towards certain fighters is just not paying attention. The **** is aggravating, and for fans of those fighters, it does put a damper on the moment. I know a lot of you worship this old ***git, but he has, for a long time, been my absolute least favorite personality in boxing, and I personally hope Floyd uses his leverage to insist HBO not allow him to work his fights....


    I know most of you don't agree, but I don't give a ****. You have your opinions, and I respect them. I have mine. And I don't care about your self-righteous drivel. Floyd isn't paid to be a nice little angel. He's paid to make people hate him and pay to see him get an ass-whoopin.

    Floyd knows "what time it is". With the shite that's been going down in boxing lately...
    He wasn't about to let it happen to him.

    Ortiz asked for it, but it's not really hard to knock someone out if you sucker punch him twice. Especially not someone like Ortiz. That's one reason why I'm saying it wasn't really that impressive a performance.

    Good post. Victor got what he deserved. He underestimated like many do that PBF is all business in the ring and has underrated toughness and nastiness.

    I couldn't agree more about Merchant. The guy has an axe to grind with certain fighters and it's quite obvious. He has never given 3 of the best fighters of this era in Hopkins, PBF and RJJ their due. He always finds a reason to say negative things about them and it's disrespectful as hell. How can people get a kick outta him doing that to ATGs is beyond me. Props to PBF for finally putting that drunk old fool in his place.
