I get why the general public are interested in Wlad v Haye BUT

If this can't spark your interest, you should find another sport to follow.

 

wlad has a glass jaw too. both have a punchers chance. if haye could pull a big left hook, bye bye wlad.

 

I see it the other way around. This fight has some hype for hardcore boxing fans simply because of the history of this fight and the amount of time it took Haye to actually get in the ring. Both men can punch and both have questionable chins. Then there's the heigh difference which could also make this interesting. So, for the old-school boxing fans this fight is definitely something to look forward to, at least on paper.

For the general sports fan or casual boxing fan however I don't see the hype working at all. Haye is largely unknown outside of the UK and Wlad is not getting much attention outside of Germany. I am visiting Germany since May and I see absolutely ZERO hype here. People don't talk about the fight at all. This is quite surprising with the fight only a short four weeks away.

I also hear ticket sales haven't been going any better than vs. any of the recent Wlad opponents (Peter etc.) and that confirms the above notion.

 

Haye pulled out of their last fight and Wlad has pulled out of his last 2 fights, i would imagine the closer it gets to fight night the tickets will dissapear.

 

i thought the k brothers are very popular in germany.

Wlad has the jab! Zero head movement! Poor footwork the list goes on! SO dont start with the boxing skill bollox it just shows how stupid you are! Why does Wlad (the champ) see how dangerous Haye is but his ******ed fans cant! There is a reason Wlad has taken on 12 sparing partners!

Im a fan of both guys and when i read some of the Haye **** it makes people look like a bunch of 12 year old spastics that have no idea of any thing boxing related!

 

They are. It just appears to me it doesn't make fights here more appealing to people if Wlad is facing Haye, Peter or Chagaev. One is not drastically more well known here than the other amongst casual fans. IMO they just want to see the K brothers fight (and win), even if it was against a random guy off the street.

Not seeing much on the horizon to give this fight some more zing amongst mainstream sport fans around here. Hope RTL and Sky have some tricks up their sleeves to hype up interest through a relentless 24/7 TV marketing campaign.

At the end of the day, without enough hype and attention the winner of the fight will get little attention for being victorious.

 

wlad is a vulnerable champion. Why wouldn't every boxing fan NOT be interested in two guys who can end it with one shot?

 

maybe in germany but i guess this fight is very much awaited in england. i can see vitali avenging his brother's loss again. wlad-sanders, vit-sanders in the making just my opinion.

Wlad should win because he's the much bigger man naturally. I'm rooting for the smaller hate just because he's smaller. The true hvw champion of the world should never let the ex-cruiserweight champion of the world beat him imo of course lol.

 

Maybe where your at. But around here I see less hype for this fight than I did for Klitschko vs Arreola..

 

3rd best boxer in the world vs the best boxer in the world. I understand that its fashionable to put **** on the heavies and worship the pocket sized champs but these two men beat all other current boxing champions on the same night and that should be enough.

 

Yeah, Haye's glass jaw is gonna get SHATTERED into a million pieces by Wlad, but some of us hardcore boxing fans are gonna love seeing this loudmouth braggart get what's coming to him!
