    True 50/50 for me

I've seen Vargas get his head boxed off by Timmy Bradley

To be honest Vargas is more boxer-puncher then straight come forward Mex style

    He's not as.relentless or nearly as strong/powerful as Porter/Maidana

I give AB a good shot here...

AB is focused+ready with a good training camp with Cunningham

He can win just has to let his hands go... The 1 rd he did let his hands go against Mikey, he actually did damage and maybe even stunned him...

Vargas can be tentative at times...

I think Vargas outworks him in a close bout, but AB got a shot here

Vargas can be outboxed, but Broner isn't a particularly skilled boxer. Bradley is an excellent boxer. He outboxed a master boxer in JMM. Bradley is a very rough and tough dude.

Vargas gonna beat that ass tomorrow.

Ali is a better boxer than Broner.

Oh how it hurts me to agree with you ElChicano.......lol only joking and I been thinking the same.
Broner for all his faults as a human being only ever seems to want to fight the best and for that I can’t fault him, given his last opponent was Garcia, this guy should seem levels below.

Broner has power and deceptive handspeed.
    Vargas is getting stopped.

Just hope he doesn't squander another chance at elevating his career.
A KO over Vargas will put him right into the top 3LWW top 6/7 WW.

He'd beat D Garcia. And I wouldn't rule out him handling Thurman.

His style leaves him vulnerable to swarmers, but even Bud would need to make adjustments through out to beat him clean

I agree I give AB a shot here. I want Vargas to win and kinda hope he does, but I put my Vcash on AB, he’s a talent, a natural bigger talent than the likkeable JV, and I’m thinking now it’s last chance saloon for AB and with all the negative stuff swirling around him right now, he has something to prove like never before.

AB hits hard enough and is a lot faster then Vargas .I think he stops Vargas who in my opinion isn't going to cope very well with ABs speed .

Good timing nullifies speed, and Vargas is a better counter puncher right now. Brokers downfall will be his ability to be out worked. He sits back too damn much.

I don't see it. In both the Porter and Garcia fights he barely even tried to win. At this point I think Broner is content with taking the top guys 12 rounds and getting a check.

I can only think of one round when Broner went on the attack against Mikey and it was the only time he had success, but then he went back into just surviving the rounds.

This. Mikey is way slower than Broner, but was timing Broner at will and making Broner pay for every mistake.

Yeah well, Ali was debatably beating Vargas at the time of the first KD. Ali is clearly the better of the two, but has the far shittier chin.

Remind me again combined... how many rounds did Vargas win off of Pac and Bradley? 1... 2? Maybe

Pac and Bradley are a full two levels above Broker. Not sure how that helps Brokers case. Didn't you call the upset of Ali that night anyway?

Yeah, I did, because I had that little faith in Ali's chin, and he can be timed, but I'm calling the stoppage of Vargas now, at the hands of Broner, Broner loses to pressure and volume fighters like Porter, Maidana and Malignaggi, and even then, it isn't easy work for them, the Granados fight was razor close, easily a draw or a one point swing either way, Vargas is cautious and far too economical with his punches, and plays into Broner's wheelhouse, he'll time and counter Vargas all night, and get the late stoppage, Vargas is a level or two below the Maidana that beat him, and Vargas would be raped by Porter, let's not overvalue the fact that he beat a glass jawed fighter like Ali and landed 1 good punch on Bradley, he's still the same guy that needed gifts to beat Novikov, Omotoso and Allakhverdiev. Yeah he lost to Garcia, but Garcia is far more accurate, heavy handed and threw more volume, and even then Broner was coming on late.

If Broner comes into this fight with the mindset to win then I can see him taking a UD where he starts to punish Vargas a bit at the end. But a TKO/KO? Nah.

As for me I've got this as a 50/50 fight with my pick of Vargas due to him more likely to be the hungrier fighter on fight night.
