At 122 he fought ledwaba who was the worst champion and had won a vacant title. Ledwaba never beat anybody. At 135 he fought david diaz who is probably one of the worst champion i´ve seen. And he won his belt off a washed up morales. He didn´t fight a guy like casamayor, who was the best champion at 135. Also fought margarito who was a bum and just got destroyed by old mosley. Pacquiao still had to drain him to 150. How can you win 154 belt at 150? It was also a vacant belt. Ricky hatton also just got destroyed by floyd and almost got stopped by journeyman lazcano. Nothing impressive about beating him. It was also for IBO belt which is not a recognised belt.

 

It is a impressive resume, but not one of the greatest resumes ever. Best opponents were washed up, weight drained or robbed like marquez was. Also pacquiao has cherrypicked plenty, like ledwaba, diaz, hatton etc.. He would never have fought thurman if thurman didn´t look horrible against lopez. Also pacquiao ducked old mosley and only fought margarito because he got destroyed by old mosley.

David Diaz proved his worth with his previous fights anf defended his belt against Erick Morales. You can argue that Morales was no longer in his prime but he was still considered elite that time. Casamayor was lucky that he did have the belt and was no longer the number 1 in the division when pacquiao decided to move up to 135 division otherwise he would have tasted the worst beating of his boxing career.
Ricky Hatton fought Floyd at 147 division. Majority of boxing fans believed that 147 division is not Hatton's comfortable and best division. Hatton himself acknowledge it. Hatton is a beast at 140 where he had become the lineal champion but pacquiao demolished him at his best. They were fighting for IBO light welterweighlightt belt and ringmagazine and light welterweight lineal championship.
