    I don't get how beating two ATG's and multiple quality champions and contenders over 4 weight classes doesn't make you an ATG.

    Pacquiao
    Barrera

    Two certified ATGs.

    Then you have

    Joel Casamayor (HOF)
    Rocky Juarez
    Orlando Salido (in his prime)
    Juan Diaz
    Chris John (robbed)

    If Marquez isn't an ATG then neither are Barrera or Morales, two of Pacquiao's best wins. It's not really up to you or your head whether Marquez is considered great, he is.

    He is not a great fighter no.. He is hall of fame, but not great. I don't think he is in that list. Not top 100, I would not think. top 200? He didn't beat John, and Juan Diaz? The Pacman win was good, but he lost 4 times. The odds of a win if he fights him 20 times would be even higher. Barrera was later, but it was a great name. He is not a solidified great no matter what.

    The crazier thing is that he jumped 2 weight classes during his early years, from flyweight to super bantamweight.
    Even if you don't respect the Margarito belt, he would've been a 9 division world champ and the ONLY boxer to have 5 belts in the 8 original weight classes (adding bantamweight if he didn't skip it).
    Those records would probably never be duplicated by anyone ever again.

    Marquez is definitely an ATG but just a level below the absolute best like Pacquio who he just seemed to match up really well with
