I do too because of his body attack/power. Pac hasn't proven to be the most durable fighter and now he's fighting a big WW. It wouldn't surprise me... he can't blow Cotto out of the water like Cotto. He has to be near perfect to not get hit with some big shots that change the fight.
I like Cotto and I'll get very disappointed if I see him hit the canvas again but this one ends by KO. Whoever loses I'll be pissed in this one, may the best man take it. My pick remains Pac by TKO in 5.
I always think it's a weird formulation to say, "if the blank that beat blank shows up he'll win." Because if Pac blitzes him of course you'll say, "it wasn't the Cotto from Mosley," but maybe it was and Pac was just a different style matchup; or just better. To me it's like saying, "If he wins the fight he'll win the fight." Anyway, I think Pac will win, but if he doesn't I still think he'll be the same Pac from Hatton, just a different opponent.
How hasn't Pacquiao proven to be a durable fighter? He took a beating from Morales their first fight and hasn't been legitimately hurt since I can remember. I don't think Cotto will necessarily over power Pacquiao but break him down like he does other opponents.
I've made no official prediction as yet but if Cotto fights Pac how he fought against Quintana who is a fellow south paw then Cotto gets beaten. Quintana was having success leading and countering with his left which Pac should easily duplicate and surpass with superior speed and power to Qunitana. Pac will also be a much more evasive target with his better footwork and head movement.
If he boxes the way he beat Mosley it's likely he stands less of a chance. His only real chance in this fight is if Pacquiao can't stand up to the punch of a true Welter.
