    Hm!!:huh

AA was green when he faced Eastman.
AA was green when he faced former champ Velasquez.
Taylor,Shannon,Ikeke,Jantuah,Demers,Miranda,Gevors, and Marquez had all more fights under their belts when they squared off against AA.
Whats more AA hadnt had a long and successful amateur career before he turned pro.
    You are spreading false information,booradley.
However, you re right in saying that Dirrel is an inexperienced fighter.
One of the very few fighters who has less fights under his belt when he fights AA:hi:

You guys are way to easy. All I have to do is type, Abraham is [insert negative comment] and it's on!! You're way to predictable.

And by the way, Dirrell will out box Arthur, until he gets knocked the **** out.

i love when people say things like "he can do it if he throws more punches."
as if all punches were equal. to me the most overused, least qualified bit of advice given to boxers on a regular basis is throw more.

Dirrell hasn't got the chance of a snowball in hell. I think Odo misunderstood me, and thought I implied Dirrell would stop AA. THAT would be truly shocking. Young Andre does not seem to have much of a boxing brain at this point. I think he'll keep it close for awhile, make some mistakes, and Arthur will blast him out.

Arthur's trouble with slick movers is well documented, but Dirrell doesn't seem to have the physical coordination or the mental wherewithal to keep it together for 12 long rounds.

I think there is a very good chance that AA will give away the first 3-4 rounds like he often does, Dirrell will get over confident, and bang, fight over.

    Excellent analysis. :deal

I also agree with the OP and your statement that I have a feeling Dirrell can pull off the upset against Abraham. I will be rooting for him come fight night. (I am going full American Homerism while rooting for the fighters. All good fun.)

I think he will review the tape from the Froch fight and correct some of his mistakes. I think he will stand his ground a little bit more and sit down on more of his punches. I honestly think it was a confidence thing against Froch, and once he had hurt Froch in the fight, Dirrell became more aggressive as his confidence grew.

If Dirrell can start like he finished against Froch, I think this is a very winnable fight for him.

Of course, as pointed out by BigBone, do not sleep on Abraham. The guy knows how to box: is effective at cutting off the ring, solid counter puncher, granite chin, and has destructive punching power.

Should be a great fight regardless of the outcome!!!

Off Topic --- Does anybody else feel that this Super 6 Tournament is one of the best things to happen in boxing in quite some time? I am loving every minute of it!!! :happy:happy:happy

Right now, I odn't see Dirrell having the experience to beat someone of AA's caliber. I agree the ability is there, but I don't think he can do so now. Not yet.

Dirrell has the skills and tools to put on a boxing clinic against Abraham. But, Dirrell makes alot of mistakes and that will cost him in this match-up. If Dirrell can keep mentaly focused and not get over confident he wont make too many mistakes and can cruise to a wide UD. AA is very strong and can turn the fight around with one shot, Dirrell needs to keep this in mind.

  14. You can never count Abe out of a fight, but, he is underwhelming to say the least. I think the big question mark for me is whether or not Andre can take Abe's shots. If he can, I think he wins. We already know Andre can counter Abe and take advantage of Abe leaving his hands down. This fight will come down to whether or not Abe can land that big shot and get Andre into some trouble.

Another big question mark for me is also going to be Dirrell's psyche once he gets hit. Even if he can physically take the punches, he wouldn't be the first person to fight Abraham with that gameplan and who didn't have the grit to stick to it and keep trading once he got a taste of Abraham's power. Everybody can come up with a gameplan to beat Arthur on paper- but actually sticking to it for 36 minutes and accomplishing it is a whole other can of bees. I've got a sneaking suspicion that instead of Arthur chasing Dirrell, he's going to try and lure Dirrell into trading with him on purpose by leaving himself open. And that's when we'll see how Andre reacts to Abraham's counters.

The more I think about it, the more I see Abraham stopping him and being up on the cards when it happens.
