I really dont watch too much tv and when I do its usually boxing, I really resent paying 20+ dollars to watch a fight or 2 a month. Is there anyway I could just pay for the Peter/Mccline fight itself or pay a fee for the day, if anyone knows could you please inform me, thank you.
As far as I'm aware the only way to get the service is thru a monthly subscription. It may vary from provider to provider though.
I believe you can order Showtime, then cancel the subscription the next day and they only charge you for the day...which is like a dollar or 2....but check with your provider. Or request a free trial period to see if you like it. OR you could just not review the results of the fight and DL it late night Saturday when it is up on torrent sites. World Boxing Video Archive is the best one out there. This is what I do with a lot PPV fights that I do not want to pay for (AKA: DO NOT deserve to be $50 to view). If you can wait out till Sunday to watch them...then its the best way to go.
Thank you, I was afraid of that. I recently got rid of showtime, because the matches werent as good as HBOs and they put that weak as ufc wannabe **** on.
That first idea you said was good, are you sure ordering it for a day or 2 will work? My luck I will get hit for like 20 bucks anyway, thanks for the idea though I might try that.:good
I refuse to pay for **** like that, maybe if they had good shows on there lineup like entourage and curb your enthusuiam I would reconsider.
TV series and sports are afterthoughts, you should view them as an added bonus and not the crux of these institutions. What you're forgetting is that Showtime and HBO are first and foremost movie channels. Their movie selection is more or less comparable; both also produce films of quality ranging from mediocre to pretty decent. Showtime's original programming on the whole is also comparable to HBO's, despite not having had a signature "hit" series like Sopranos or Entourage.
The only reason I even still have HBO is for shows like Entourage and the new season of Curb your enthusiasm, I use to only order HBO for a month when I seen good fights coming up and then when there was none I would drop it. Showtime is behind HBO in boxing and in tv shows IMO, I would rather spend my 20+ somewhere else.
I don't know man, I can barely afford my cable bill every month, but I'd cut down to like one meal a day before cutting out the option of seeing any fight, any time, on any of the half dozen stations that might show them. Boxing is definitely the main reason I make the financial sacrifice to have the full cable package including HBO and Showtime. Everything else I just view as a bonus. If none of the movie or original series programming happens to interest me at a particular time, well then no sour grapes, at least I know I have access to several high-profile fights a month. If there is good stuff on, all the better. Matter of picking your prerogative I guess. I'd rather have both channels and not feel I'm getting my full money's worth all the time than go without one and risk missing some great fights live (shitty internet streams notwithstanding)
My friend usually invites me over to watch matches on showtime, but he happens to be working tomorrow so Im ****ed. I really dont know what Im going to do yet, I just hate paying 20 dollars to see a one fight and maybe a another decent fight later on in a month.
Yeah and their answer to our sudden cancelations might be the sudden slew of bogus boxing injuries. Smells like the old bait & switch to me:think
