    Lying is a harsh word.

    He was simply wrong.

According to the Ring he weighed 152 against Marquez, unofficially. He also stated his weight against Mosley (he claimed he was 147 in the ring- not sure if I believe it). So why are u acting like this is some deceptive scheme by Mayweather? He has been open about his weight, it's just a matter of people not wanting to believe him because it fits into the "he fights only smaller men" myth. When in reality he is showing that he is a small man himself. He weighed something like 156 on WWE when he was fully clothed with shoes on (and "retired"), he recently weighed 149 at the 3 week (?) weigh in before the Ortiz fight, NOTHING points to him weighing anything near 160, except for Marquez estimating it because Floyd felt so much stronger than him.

Indeed Hatton regualrly weighed in the mid 150s when he fought at 140.
Im sure when he was allowed weigh in neat 147 he was a few pounds heavier than him again.

De La Hoya, Castillo, Corrales, Baldmomir, Gatti were all WAY bigger than him.

hatton had already fought at welter weight and would have been a little heavier than floyd on fight night imo. Hatton at 152lb for pac @140lb was noraml for ricky.. I suppose all I am saying is too much has been read into floyd beating up on smaller fighters.. He is small himself and aside marquez who'd have been 4lb or so lighter I can't think of any other fighter so much smaller than floyd. Marquez just like Hatton proved he was infective at 147 whereas floyd's style allows him to be.

JMM just said that because of how strong Floyd was compared to him.

But anyone thinking reasonable knows Floyd would not go up past about 150-152 on fight night, and he is frequently lower than that.

That 160 figure was used by *******s to detract from Floyd's victory. :deal

I'm just cynical, can't help it with Mayweather, the guy lies and lies and seems desperate to get any plaudits he can. I dunno, hard for me to believe him. Hatton could well have outweighed him by alot, I can believe that one. 152 against Marquez, also believable, personally I think he was a little bigger. I don't believe he was 147 vs Mosley though, Mosley was 156 and Mayweather looked just as big, if not bigger. Wish he'd weighed-in for all those fights, there wouldn't be this type of conjecture

Floyd is deceivingly strong anyway, beside putting on 15 pound additional pounds in 24hr does not make you stronger.

Being realistic it is hard to estimate weight via tv screen.. I mean Mosley has to be bigger boned than Floyd. Hell he may even have a 12" 7lb python in his pants...

exactly, the amount of times we have witnessed him fight at or near his weigh in weight suggests to me that his limit is around 150lb.. Fast metabolism due to the fact he has on occasion actually been reported to have lost a pound or 2 come fight night..
