Mayweather has all the advantages in this fight. Floyd has a huge advantage in pro experience against contenders, and let's not forget Canelo had no amateur experience. Canelo is still a year of so away from his prime, while Floyd at 36 is probably still in his prime because he never took much punishment in fights with his "pitty-pat and run" style. Floyd has a 1.5" advantage in wingspan, a 2.5" advantage in arm length and he's a bit taller too. Mayweather has hometown and home country advantage as well. I'd love to see Canelo win, it would be good for the sport of boxing. But the sad reality is, Mayweather will pitty-pat his way to yet another dull decision win.
Canelo could pull the upset but ko? Thats pushing it. Saying floyd gets koed is like saying hopkins or toney gets koed. Win or lose I think floyds defense keeps him on his feet the whole 12.
When people think KO they are assuming from a shot to the head, but Canelo if he lands enough on the button,I see that way more likely..
This is boxing......anything can happen, but Floyd hasn't slowed down all that much and his experience is next to none. So even though youth is usually an advantage in these situations I think Floyd experience negates Nelo's youth. The size and power advantage is definitely Nelo's so that's where your instinct could turn out to be true.
You damn right it sounds stupid. Making a prediction based on a weigh in and staredown and throwing all rational thought out of the window about the strengths weaknesses styles and body of work of the fighters.atsch
