well i boxed this guy a few days ago and beat him with a strong straight right. he wild swings like crazy. what would be a good defence to his wild swingging to beat him where he would think twice about boxing me again?
Body work. If he swings wild, he will leave himself open to a left hook to the body, left hook to the liver will put anybody in their place.
but this also means i will get hit too...haha i dont min at all. but i have a problem with when somebody is wild swinging at me and they're conecting then i wont look..ill take it...i think i should pressure him and come in with him wild swinging and hurt him a few time with some body shots untill i find that perfect KO shot, then take it
Jab, footwork. Let him walk right into your jab. Show him angles. You'll eventually find your opening and put him on his ass :good
My first thought is that if you are technically superior and your conditioning is on point, be content to outclass him and don't force the KO. From what I'm understanding, it sounds like you want to "make a point", which is cool. You can also make that point by just winning. Counter the **** out of his windmilling garbage, but stay sound defensively. :good
Keep the hand high, chin tucked, time him with the jab in between his wild shots. The jab will make him have second thoughts and it will keep him off balance. Keep your composure, stay relaxed, pick off shots, go under his hooks and counter to the body and the head. After you land a shot or two, move and make him reset. These wild, uncontrolled guys were always my favorites to fight:yep
yea thats what my dad says.....we're a HUGE boxing family..my dad is 47 and he's been boxing since he was 4 haha...i box him from time to time...but i lose all the time to him...thats the only person ive lost to..my brother has also gotta fight coming up too...btw for more information about my fight...im 6'2 160 umm LONG arm reach..not sure in inches....but hes 5'9 bout 170, my reach is a bit longer.
Aw man, you got this one in the bag. Use the jab for a round or two, circle, keep an eye on how he likes to move inside, then start catching his short ass coming in. But like Mark said, keep that chin tucked! Man would that be cool to be in a "boxing family"... I've just got to settle for being a fan. Welcome to the board. :thumbsup
haha thanks yea its awesome being in a "boxing family" my sister and mom ever love boxing my little brothers whos 7 packs a puch...and he so dang quick, and moves alot. he was boxing my older brother and caught him with a jab followed up by a huge strong right...u should have been there....i fell on the floor laughing....i was so proud....my brothers style reminds me of roy jones jr. which is awesome....ppl say my style reminds them of cotto which is even more awesome
if he is a wild swinger, just keep that jab extremely straight, 2 jabs and the straight right, with all those wild swings you will connect most of the time.
PM me a pic bro! Maybe I'll giver her a shout, take her out ya know. I could use a nice young lady in my life who likes boxing :good
:rofl Yeah I'd hate to be the guy she brings home in to meet you guys!!! Has she started dating yet, is your dad ****ing going nuts? atsch I hope I never have a girl, thank god I only have 2 brothers.
well yea kinda...she likes this dude that boxes too....my dad wants to box him, but the dude said no haha...smart...but the guy im gonna box again wants to box my dad....stupid....he said he'd box anybody...ok haha...she's just turned 16 so yea he's goin kinda nuts haha
Only advice I can add on would be to not let him throw you off your game (and become wild yourself). Stick to technical boxing and keep your cool and you shouldn't have any problems by the sounds of it
