It's understandable, (sad, but understandable), that US fans are desperate for a bit of middleweight success.
Stevens is not the man to deliver it though. Just like quillin won't either.

Be much more that Danny Jacobs will deliver at least some success. Be patient, US fans, and Danny Jacobs will cheer ye up yet!! He is a genuine talent and a real threat at 160.

Props to Stevens for putting himself in this position and he has one hell of puncher's chance but that's it.

Unfortunately for GGG he will not get much credit for this win hopefully he moves on to more credit worthy opponents.

Is this a no quibble guarantee and are my statutory rights affected?

Well done kid. You got your five minutes of fame with this train crash of a thread, now its back to the gutter with you. Off you go.

Curtis Stevens can really punch, so it's not impossible. I really hope Golovkin wins though, he looks so kind and compassionate. He looks like a good little boy, a good little balding boy.

Danny Jacobs is a great story, but didn't he get dominated and KO'ed by Pirog??

GGG is to easy to hit. It may be his skin that lets him down if Stevens is able to land.

I think it will all come down to how Stevens handles Govokins power.

I've never heard anything about Stevens so my question is when will Golovkin fight a big name fighter?

    Fraud?

I've watched three of his fights (Proksa, Rosado, Macklin) and was quite impressed by his thunderous lefts to the body. Yes, it is true that he took a lot of punishment from all 3 opponents but, trust me, none of them were "bums". All had respectable records and put on a good fight against him. His ability to withstand a punch and respond with strong combos have made him into the contender that he is today.

Curtis Stevens is from my old neighborhood - the East New York/Brownsville section of Brooklyn - which has produced a great many pro champs. While I will be pulling for him to win I don't think he has the history or credentials that would back up the suggestion that he will have some form of walkover. Let's hope he will do as did Danny Garcia who chose to outbox, and not try to outpunch, the stronger hitting Matthysse.

Looking forward to a great match!

He didn't take any punishment from Macklin. Landed only a few clean shots which didn't do anything.

You are correct that Macklin's punches had no effect on him but, I bet, it would have had more effect on anybody else. GGG can take a punch and can pack quite a wallop. Let's hope Stevens will watch that video and take a smarter, more scientific approach to their match.
