http://www.shopbjpenn.com/store/cart.php?m=product_detail&p=129 This was supposed to be the walk-out and cornerman shirt for BJ last night when he fought Diego Sanchez. Now on the website, the shirt is listed as a limited edition t-shirt from BJ Penn and Frost, the guy who created it. It says beneath that due to a decision out of BJ's control, this would not be the official walk-out shirt, and then goes on to say that RVCA has been one of BJ's main sponsors for years, and he collaborated with them to make this limited edition shirt. http://www.shopbjpenn.com/store/cart.php?m=product_detail&p=137 This was the actual walk-out and cornerman shirt from the fight last night. As you can see, there is no RVCA logos of any kind on the shirt, and instead it was only the Cage Fighter logos. I guess Dana wasn't kidding about banning **** from RVCA. From what I remember, BJ had the logo on his trunks and whatnot, but the shirt kind of accentuated the company. It all has to do with the fact that they sponsor Fedor. In fact, BJ made a video on his website, as he usually does all the time, and shows the Fedore RCA shirt and says "The new RVCA Fedor shirt, pick one up in the stores!" ***** move by Dana if you ask me, he's letting Fedor win. He wants nothing in UFC even remotely associated with him. Ridiculous.
Get it out of your head that the mouthpiece makes these decisions. The mafia can be very controlling. There is a reason the fertittas ruined their father's business.
