That's what Pavlik said about Calzaghe at the Pavlik-Hopkins New York Press Conference. The quotes are listed on the ESB main page. Hopkins actually said a lot of nice things about Pavlik, so I guess he's saving his trash talk. Just wanted your thoughts on what Pavlik said.

I don't think Calzaghe is scared, he just got a chance to make big money in an easier fight and went for it, the man is 36 and wants to take advantage of any possible huge payday he can get before he's retired. He already said that he will move down for 1 more fight after RJJ so let's wait and see.

Pavlik needs to focus his ass on Hopkins.

Yeah I'm not saying Calzaghe is scared at all, he's doing the money fight with RJJ then will probably fight Kelly after. I just thought it was ironic that Pavlik said this, it almost seems like he thinks Hopkins will be an easy fight, which i don't think it's going to be for him.

Pavlik has no business fighting 43 year olds and 37 year olds anyway...........why doesn't he fight Froch, Kessler, Abraham, Bute rather than fighting Hopkins???

This fight makes no sense at all, especially a non-title fight at a catch weight

Hops should retire and Pavlik should get on with trying to earn a shot a Calzaghe rather than doing a bad impression of Carl Froch

How about Pavlik stops fighting the old age pensioners and fights someone closer to his own age, say, Arthur Abraham. Maybe it's Pavlik that needs to be shot in the foot.

Good call.....Pavlik needs to **** off calling out the veterans and fight some dangerous MWs again.....Lockett and Hopkins is just ridiculous right now when there are so many bigger more dangerous fights out there

Pavlik should go after the real competition rather than fighting the old men!

Just hyping up his next fight and he knows it will happen next IF he beats Hopkins which I think he's not taking serious enough right now. :yep

Bernard is the smartest fighter in the game and cannot be underestimated.

Not to mention the man spent a few years in the PEN and he appears to a fearless individual.

With that said, I think Pavlik brings the dog out of him, but at 43 it's not enough and Pavlik knocks him out.

If Pavlik stays active and lets his hands go then this will be a very difficult fight for Hopkins to handle, especially at this age. If Pavlik decides to wait then this will be Tarver all over again.
