First dirrell pulls the fake injury story so he can fight abraham in his home,but now ward is doing the same,because the allan green fight will be on june 19th in oakland.
Wasnt it supposed to be in Oakland anyway? I have no problem if Dirrell did fake an injury, there is no reason why everyone should get to fight at home and Dirrell doesnt. Then again its just speculation.
I doubt Ward or Dirrell would fake an injury, to get a fight at home. I know Dirrell said something along the lines of no more fights abroad or I know why Jones didnt travel in his career etc, after Froch beat him, but things get said in the heat of the moment and arent always meant. In truth it was probably right in some way for Dirrell to face Froch at home and Green to face Ward at home with them being the champs. In alot of ways guys like Kessler and Froch are a real credit because even as champs they have no problems defending their titles away, hopefully Ward will show some of the same as the tournament goes on and Dirrell will give it another go
He has 3 fights in America. Not hometown. Although him vs Dirrell will probably be at a nuetral venue.
It's what was negotiated. Nobody but Goosen figured it out until after the papers were signed. The promoters were arguing about it after the fact in the first episode of Fight Camp 360.
