Fascinating how GGG fans can have the cheek to talk like he's a boss after his last fight.

I'd log off for a while tbh

Christopher needs to redeem himself and this next pathetic fight is doing the opposite.

I can’t be bothered taking him up any more until he does something worthy.

GGG also needs some redemption but tbh, he is old news and ageing by the minute.

In the current climate I doubt he will ever win another title, what do you clowns think?

George Groves fought a great game plan and Jr was too thick to over come it.

Similar to GGG thinking running was going to win after all the hoopla of the 1st fight. Ffs his trainer was actually giving him solid advice and he refused to listen. Jrs trainers just gave him a drink and a bucket to spit in lol.

GGG has how many legit ko's?

About as many as Christopher by my count

The bloke has fought a bunch of sand bags, anyone that dared to go toe to toe gave him a hell of a fight.

Stylistically GGG is made for Jr and the uppercut will be lethal.

I suppose GGG could just run the whole night lol, then it might be competitive.

    When has GGG ever "run"?

CEJ has been exposed every time he's stepped above British level.

With respect, Golovkin just fought Canelo in what will be remembered as a great fight, sure he lost on the official cards (and yes that's all that really matters) but many believe he won both fights, either way, what I'm saying is they were both close fights and divide opinion.

Eubank Jr was embarrassed by George Groves in his last fight and is fighting JJ McDonagh next, now is not the time to start talking up Eubank Jr.

Also, you said all that "stylistic nightmare" stuff about Groves too, you told us all about the uppercut, stamina, speed and how did that work out for Jr? He was humiliated.

Let Jr go and fight JJ McDonagh (Personally I've never heard of him) and then fight a shot to pieces DeGale and leave the top middleweights to fight it out.

Every 36, pushing 37 year old fighter moving up in weight is vulnerable. EVERY one.

Groves fight did surprise me. Stylistically Groves always had the advantage, he is a great boxer from range that has good foot work and great straight punches.

The theory was that Groves would start well but would ultimately tire out from mental fatigue (which plagued him in the past) and that Jr's fitness and work rate would kick in after half way.

Groves was dominant from the start, he didn't let Jr work on the inside he boxed his ears off from range and then tied him up everytime he got close. GGG has a decent long range game but he doesn't really ever clinch. He actually likes to work himself and in doing so he will allow Jr to let his hands go. Jr's hands are very quick and he will land first no doubt about it.

GGG and his fans are sooks no 2 ways about it. The bloke lost fair and square against a much smaller man. Pretty much the opposite of P4P. Groves would do just the same to him too.

    @CST80

Ive been meaning to make this post to you since I last edited my other post in this thread.... just now am getting to it, but just feel that I might always be a bit vague on why I think this is a fun and tougher than expected matchup for G, in my view at last. I think you warrant a bit more explanation on my part.

My primary reason for thinking G vs CEJ is a fun fight (and when I say fun, I mean a bloody (even if its CEJ's blood) give and take that sees a lot of give and take action and where CEJ suprises everyone with the action he provides) It mainly comes down to, that I think Golovkin is old, *on top of* him being slightly overrated. So what I mean is that I think he, like all popular fighters just about, let alone punchers, got a bit overrated, and now on top of that, he is old now as well.

I think CEJ is physically 'prime' enough (its funny saying that about fighters without a legacy, but its true in this case), and his desire is enough, to hang in there with G, and with a relatively stationary target in front of him, will have the opportunities in front of him to let his hands go. To help give context to where I have these two gauged at, imo, I think the Groves that beat Eubank, also beats Golovkin (I believe I said this even before this last Canelo fight). I think the BJS that beat Eubank, would give todays Golovkin a very good match in a losing effort. So when someone uses those two losses against CEJ, to me its a bit misleading, because I think G loses to one and has a close match with the other anyways himself.

I feel that, historically, I have had these two gauged fairly accurately, so I dont see why I wouldnt be viewing this matchup correctly. That all being said (sorry for the long windedness of the post) I want to make clear, I absolutely think G wins. I just feel rather confidently that it wouldnt be the blowout or pure domination everyone thinks it would be.

Anyways man thats just my opinion, I could no doubt be wrong.

Wouldnt be a bad opponent for G at his first fight at 168 if he decides to move up, or even a tune up fight leading into a Canelo trilogy. Hope it happens, but dont think these two will ever fight anymore, CEJ made sure to miss that opportunity Im afraid. But we'll see.

Fair enough, and I don't entirely disagree with you, I've always thought Saunders would be a nightmare for GGG, and at this point beats him decisively and Canelo for that matter, Groves probably would as well. I think Eubank might put up a good fight for a few rounds, but would still ultimately be bludgeoned into submission. My one reservation into buying into your theory is, CEJ is far more cautious that people think he is, when in with someone with a sharp accurate jab and a skilled counter puncher, he's safety first as he could be, hence why he looked so poor against BJS and GG and I think GGG would employ the same strategy against him. But if CEJ thought he could take GGG's power and give it a go, it would be entertaining, with a violent KO cherry on top.

CEJ is a pretender who lacks basic fundamentals, and hid it well for a time with flash and hand speed. Golvokin beats CEJ with very little issue.
