With the glove controversy. All fighters looked great but Khan really looked impressive. I never make too much about weigh-ins, and I'm not going to make much about this one but, did anyone else get the feeling Maidana looked drained? I reminded me of Alvarez at his weigh-in with Mayweather in which right after he weighed in he sat down and immediately began to Rehydrate. Rehydrating right after a weigh-in is almost standard after weighing in, but it was Maidana's body language and sitting down is what drew my attention. Is it possible for the naturally smaller fighter to be the one that's drained? Thoughts.
Maidana is not drained. He has one of those bodies that cut not cut up like Mayweather, Khan, Pac etc. Rest assured, Ariza has got him into insane condition.
maidana has not been at 147 that long.. he has never had problems making weight ? he will be bigger then floyd on fight night i can gaurentee you that ariza in all access said he was very happy with how it was all going. i do agree khan looks REALLY GOOD. but iv got collazo knocking him out
Maidana's body looked like ****. Just compare Floyd's shoulders with Maidana's ones, Floyd has like two times the muscle masses. Maidana's body is totally unimpressive, and probably the worst ever seen at that level in the last years.
@Barrera This does have the makings of a Garcia-Khan fight. I can see Khan having success and winning on his natural athletic ability, by out-speeding Collazo, but Collazo could time him and catch him with a sleeping pill.
@UniversalPart I'm not so sure about his conditioning, I know he doesn't have a chiseled type of physique, but he look a bit drained to me, maybe even overtrained. Even in his last fight against Broner, he tired badly down the stretch and was actually almost taken out by a guy he was beating down. I could be wrong, we will see.
yep! thats why i love khans fights.. at anytime his opponent no matter how outclassed he is getting can land that shot and win the fight.
@RemeberingCS I actually agree with you, however he does posses power but physically looking at him he does not have the prototypical boxing physique, hell he doesn't even posses a prototypical boxing style as he is a bit awkward, but he does come to fight. I just think he looked a bit drained or overtrained at the weigh-in, he headed straight for a chair right after he weighed in, could be nerves we will see. Khan on the other hand looked to be in the best shape I've seen him in, probably hoping to be next in line for Mayweather. Broner looked a little dry to.
