It does seem as if Haye went to the Gerry Cooney Boxing School of fighting like 7 rounds in 2 years before a title shot. It is not very smart.

Freaky, I had a dream about Haye/Valuev 2 nights ago, no lie. Valuev put Haye on ***** street with a straight right in the 2nd and he couldn't beat the count.

I had a dream, that David Haye would fight Wlad at "Schalke Arena" and gets KO in 2 rounds.

But than he pulls out. :D

    Lets be really succinct here.

Valuev is absolute shite. He is one of the worst ever HW champions ever.

    Haye would absolutely destroy him.

This fight has been made because Haye has agreed to a King contract, rather than a Klitschko contract as options.

The difference in this fight though is that Haye wins this fight and can become a HW champion.

    :rofl:patsch

Haye signed a Sauerland contract not a King contract. King did not even know the fight was being made until after the fact he was trying to get Valuev to fight Ruiz again.

What are your thoughts on this Rico?

I would rather watch anything than Valuev vs Ruiz again.... but anyways.....

I think Haye needs to be really disciplined - it's ok saying Valuev is a bum..... well yes, but he can take a shot, and with Haye's questionable stamina (rather than his chin, which is average) it is sure to be an intriguing affair.

I have no problem with the fight. I think it should be interesting. I will give Haye credit if he is able to KO the giant nobody has been able to do it so far.

Haye is going to have a dilemma though. He is not going to beat a Sauerland fighter in Germany on the scorecards. His only hope of winning is by KO. He is going to have to be careful and pace himself yet at the same time he is going to have to go for the KO. I think this is a very interesting fight and will tell us a lot. I think Valuev is awful but the size difference is going to effect Haye regardless if he admits it or not. His best bet is to fight a controlled and disciplined fight to not waste energy and hope for multiple (4+) knockdowns if he hopes to have any chance to win on the scorecards. His best bet is by KO though.

Sauerland always takes options. But i think Don King is involved.

    Sauerland is Ruiz Manager too.
