And now all I have is this gay ass avatar. Credit to Paul Williams and to those who picked him in this fight. I thought Margos preasure would get to him late, but I thought wrong. Anyways, Paul Williams is defenantly a fighter to watch, top 5 welter IMO.
Dont trip this loss does not make him a bad fighter, he just wasnt on top of his game that night. a rematch is something I would still like to see, and besides we got more action in that fight than we did in the world awaits event. Top five welter for sure, Margarito is still in the mix dont count him out.
I and others told all of you Margarito fans that Margarito was nothing special at all and a glorified journeyman. The results against a top 10 fighter showed this time around, it will be the same from here on out.
Paul Williams is better than top 10 IMO. And I agree with Bazooka, I wont count him out. But I have to say, I thought he was a better fighter. Never one of my favs, but still, I thought he would beat Williams.
margarito isnt out but i dont think a rematch against pw would change anything either.....i have said from the begining that williams was special and i think he will continue to prove it
He could have easily pulled it out, had he threw some counter shots in the early rounds, but he didnt.
yea i did too but much credit to Williams who continued to throw in the 12th and because that essentially won the fight, but i promise we havnt heard the last of Margarito he's a true mexwarrior who I belive could beat Williams in a rematch
No so sure about that, did you hear when they asked Williams what happened in the 9,10,11 round when you seemed to let Tony back into the fight. his reply was, It was my first time going 12 and I wanted to make sure i had something left. which he proved to be the case by the way he won the 12th easy. I think that a rematch would be even worse for Tony, I doubt that he will win 2 rounds.
I also picked Margarito and there's no shame with that kind of loss. Actually it played out as I was saying it will . . . Marg will soften Williams to get to him on the later rounds. And it happened . . . problem is Marg took off late and gave a lot of rounds in the early part oif the fight. Don't worry buddy . . . he'll be back. :yep
imo tony did not lose anything in that loss. what showed that night was that pw can handle a good body attack, and not fold. because one thing was clear and that was that margarito came to work the body. in hopes of pw folding late. props to pw. but tony is still a player in the division. and i also wouldn't mind seeing a rematch.
