I had doubts about Jared Anderson, but taking Zhan after Martin is refreshment in heavyweight.

Anderson vs. Kossobutskiy won't ever happen

Anderson is telegraphed, predicatble, easy to hit, has overrated power, he doesn't looks natural with his style and in fact, needs a lot of space to creatr hos shots (Zhan won't give him that) he is not really faster than Zhan

Zhan is the opposite, very natural boxer, you don't know what shots/combinations are coming, has a underrated defense, good head movement, excellent timing, raw power, has never been in trouble at pro's, never lost a round there

I like JA, but he will make Anderson retire at 23 if they fight, so fight won't ever happen. Top Rank is just trying to waste Zhan's time so he doesn't get other fights

He's the dark knight who will rise up once he get the opportunity! But his time is limited, very limited

Cry me a river , only Brits and Americans can do that? So Loma didn't fight for a championship in his 2nd fight? And 3rd fight? Usyk didn't fight for a world title ridiculously early? I know what you're saying with the fast track Western fighters get, it's down to marketability, not ethnicity/nationality, so constantly crying about it hurts your argument.

 

Usyk was undisputed unified 4 belt holder from Cruiserweight - he was basically a champ when he fought AJ

 

I don't have an issue with him fighting AJ when he did, because in my books if you're undisputed champ and you move up, you're entitled to a shot early. But he didn't have many fights on his record when he fight for his first world title did he? But he got to that position because he was marketable because of his skills and personality, so it's not nationality that dictates the rankings

 

Usyk was never marketable, now he can be if he defeats Wilder/Fury

 

Hating fury or aj is the number one priority for some people on this board when it comes to discussing heavyweights and it creates all sorts of paradoxes. Like Charles Martin has to be garbage otherwise it's an impressive win on AJs resume instead of a funny meme.

So, by extension, Andersen must be questionable because he was in a competitive fight that went the distance with Martin.

I think these are a bunch of top class athletes and that they could all lose to each other if they lose focus or don't come prepared or come overconfident.

 

I disagree, having world stage success with the Olympics - in London too, so lots of British eyes on him - plus his obvious skills, plus the WSB , plus an endearing personality makes him pretty marketable

 

So did Yoka, how did that work out for him? If he was not mandatory he would have never fought AJ, they didnt make "market" based decision., they were forced.

I'm sorry but Anderson isn't a world class fighter in my opinion. He won't ever be a dominant champ just possibly pick up a strap because he can bang but he'll need to be looked after. Any well rounded contender will beat him.
