The fight was definitely a tough fight for Floyd, which I think could of been easier if he stayed off the ropes. With that being said I think it was entertaining, something that we needed to see happen to him, and something he needed to experience. This by no means take away from his talent in the ring, because every fighter has an off night and he's no exception. As great as M Jordan was to Basketball, even he had bad nights. This should only make Floyd train even harder so that the next few bouts he have next, will look spectacular.

 

High quality fight, like a poor man's version of the Brawl in Montreal, but this fight is much harder to score, much closer rounds. Both fighters display how to use their styles effectively, great display as always from Floyd on defensive boxing and Maidana becoming a master himself at pressure fighting. 1-7 were Maidana rounds, but close rounds. The rest were Floyds, also close rounds. Was supposed to be a mismatch, but its a classic. Maidana not only held his own on the inside, but his jab worked better than expected too. I have it a draw, but not surprised a close fight like this was scored for Floyd cuz it was in Vegas, of course. Even if Maidana clearly won it, it'd be tough to get a fair decision. He at the very least does deserve a rematch.

Fair scoring TS... floyd clearly edged it. It was close fight but one clear winner imo.

There are certain fighters top of this sport who never seems to really win according some people.

Fuk, i am beginning to wonder if floyd really let maidana have some success for all this after game and buzzle and how much attention=money it would guarantee for the next fight. He really is one of the best businessman of the game.

yeah you cant make this guy talk about his losses for ****. he will tell you how many times he won, but is a ghost when he loses

me too and i gave the last 2 rounds to maidana, the 11th could have went either way but the 12th...i can't give that round to may because he held on for 10 seconds at a time in the final minute, champions don't do that.
