Froch was the boss there trough the fight but Kessler put some very good work on here and there. I had it 7-5 Froch.
TBF didn't you put all your vcash down on Kessler :hey that probably had an influence on your scoring.
It seems the majority of the knowledgeable posters on here not swayed by commentary or nationlism scored it a draw or a close Froch win. Saturday afternoon, i enjoyed the fight and didn't do a job of scoring, but later that night i muted my set and objectively scored the fight for Froch 115-114. I had the 6th even. Gave kessler the 1st, 5th, and 9th-11th rds. I thought Froch won with the consistent pumping jabs and obvious greater desire to win, but the shots that had me :yikes were landed by the dane. When kessler let his hands go he looked great, but like max said "you get the impression that kessler needs everything to be perfect before he throws" was right on. He waited and let Carl be 1st, otherwise he would've dominated the fight.
I thought Kessler won rounds 1-4,5,6, 9,10,11 I thought round 1 was close. either u like the jab or the body work of Kessler, u take your pick. i took body work.
Like i said if you just watch the fight and dont score it round by round then of course it looked like Froch won (seen plenty of fights like that) but round by round it was very close. Froch worked the jab but missed alot of power shots. I think there was at least 3 swing rounds. like I said i cant argue a draw or 7-5 froch because thats how close it was. but think about this, lots of people had it a draw so how can u argue it wasnt 7-5 froch or 7-5 Kessler. I know it seems like giving 7 rounds to Kessler is alot but i thought he won 4,5,6 and 9,10,11. and i thought round 1 could've gone to either. so thats how my card was
I think you meant to put a comma and space between 1 & 4 there, mate...not a dash. :yep Unless you now have it 9-3 for Kessler.
The old if he let his hands go more he would have dominated excuse. The guy across the ring has something to do with how a fight plays out. I saw Kessler landing some good two or three punch combos, but Carl landing one at the end of just about all of them, and eventually Kessler got tired of getting hit, don't you think that might have had something to do with him waiting for the perfect opportunity to throw? Fighters get gun shy for a reason, if they could light the other guy up, they would.
Kessler looked like he was asleep to me. Like he didn't really come to fight, and was afraid to really mix it up. He fought mostly lethargic & safe, and at the end it was clear that he knew he had lost. End of.
but my card having Carl winning clearly is backed up by 99% of those that watched the fight. it's not my fault that people can't score a fight properly and are incompetent. i am right. there is no doubt about it. i know how to score a fight.
I'm sorry you can't afford glasses. Kessler stood around too much without throwing to win that fight. Sorry.
perfectly said. Kessler won the first fight on my card by two points. Froch though, won the rematch clearly.
