If you ever read any of my post you know how I feel about Calzaghe, I don't really hate him I'm just upset that a man that talented missed out on fighting fighters in an era that produced at least 5 future hall of famers, and he only faught two of them, and while they where old.

Even with that said I only campare his Career with future hall of famers not good fighters, but great fighters so to ask who would win between prime calzaghe and today's Andre ward is plain desrespectfull.

Don't get me wrong Ward is good, and out boxed Kessler
and did what he was supposed to do against Green.

The real fight that will determine how good he is, is the fight against Direll, who is to fast on the back foot for him to punch then grab, and Abraham, who nobody at 168 can walk down or stay in front if with out going to sleep.

The ward yesterday was punching then grabbing then punching out of the grab, he won't be able to do that against those two dudes. Froch and Kessler he would win fairly easy. Let's see if he can adjust to these two fighters before we start loosing our minds.

I see Ward vs Dirrell looking a little similar to Judah vs Mayweather ones fast with more natural athelisim and the other is a mentally smarter fighter.

I watched ward beat a personal friend of mine for 12 round Henry " Suger Poo" Buchanan, it was the fight before Miranda. Anyway when suger poo got on the back foot to escape the punishment Ward couldn't find him and wasn't able to finish him off or give him a bad beating, and he didn't have half the back foot of Direll. Not saying Direll gonna run all day but with his jab and backfoot, direll would not be there for to many grabs.

Ward might be the future, but it's to early to tell, still got lots of work.

    Sorry for the errors iPhone

Yes, he would. Ward is not that good. That grab and hold crap might get you a victory over a mediocrity like Allen Green, but not somebody like Calzaghe.

Have not watched the fight yet so wont judge him, sounds as if hes pissing a lot of people off with the holding crap despite having a lot of skill.

I think this is the upset people were thinking green was going to do.

some think the fight is going to be a boring spar fest among two friends..

ward don't want his first loss...and Dirrell wants to stay in the tournament and also don't want a loss. friendship aside for the business at hand.

No way is Dirrell going to let Ward impose his will and manhandle him like he did green and kessler.

Dirrell has had the long hard road in this whole tournament. I like Andre Ward and I also think he has a great chance to take it. He is lucky he faced who he has so far. Dirrell is fresh from real war.

Calzaghe was a real deal but in RJJ prime Joe would have no chances.

Ward is dirty, i think Dirrel can beat him

calzaghe got a bit of mayweather in him...

he gets in the ring...gets your whole vibe and takes away your weapons and does you in.

this can also be said for ward.. and how dirrell did abraham.

I know it is embarrassing that they are trying to ressurect a brittle handed old coke head for Europe.............it would resemble Johnson/ Jeffries. Then they would be REALLY upset, Joe was done a long time ago with his last two fights against old ass or old ass and shot fighters. He won't go near the ring with the young lions now.

Hard to say. how often have the guys in the Super Six dealt with such a high volume puncher? Then again we saw Calzaghe stop punching due to B-Hops counter attacks. I wonder if Dirrel or Wards speed could do that. AA would end up swinging for him badly, we all know about Kessler, would definatly beat Green and probably Froch. The two Americans would be my shout to beat him although I would favour him
