Ward would be the best fighter in his prime that Calzaghe would have faced. and hence ward would have won

Yep faded Kessler and the elite green sure make Ward a force to be reckoned with. Last time we had talk like this the guy was called Lacy and see how that ended up. And before you all shout how lacy was never that godo to start with ,then why did you hype him so much?

Calzaghe is arguably the GOAT at 168 and rightfully should be favored to beat Ward.

I don't know what would happen now with Joe's retirement, inactivity, and potentially not training...so I'd bet on Ward. 168 pound Calzaghe beats Ward though imo.

Ward would own Calfaggy's ass and make him his Coke slut. Calzaghe fights like a girl and confuses his opponents with all those whirling windmilling arm flailing making them believe they are fighting a woman.

Ward is a young version of Bernard Hopkins without the KO power and would destroy Calzaghe even in his prime.

Fact is Ward is 26 years old, has only had 22 fights yet is already not far off bettering Calzaghe's resume in terms of quality of opponents.

Even Allan Green is far better than most of the guys Calzaghe fought.

agree but Green is better than most of the guys Jones and Hopkins fought too.

    btw.
Green would lose vs Lacy, Veit, David Starie, Byron Mitchell, Robin Reid, Mger Mkrtchyan, Kessler, Hopkins, Jones

well, maybe if somehow ward was 40 and past his prime...and joe was the younger fresher guy, he might could win.....but thats the only way he would fight him...

Not sure about that. Green would definitely lose (badly) to Kessler and Hopkins but the rest are nothing special and I'm sure even Green could beat the version of Roy Jones that Calzaghe fought.
