I hate Calzaghe, but he would beat today's Ward easy!!!

Calzaghe's best win was a controversial SD over a 43 year old Hopkins who made him look amateurish in the process.

To say that Calzaghe would "easily" beat Ward is laughable.

 

You say they nothing special but their records as good or betetr than Greens i imagine, Both times he stepped up a level he lost.

 

Hop was prime, at his natrual weight fightin on his home soil.

Hop was ring mag 1 at LHW, p4p 3 at the time, behind only Mayweather and Pac, two considered by many to be in the top 50atg's.

Hop smashed top 5 p4p Pavlik in his next fight winning all 12 rounds.


Hop was outboxed and smashed by Calzaghe from round 4 onwards, even to teh point where he was getting KTFO in round 10, then he faked a low blow and got ass raped infront of his country and teh world on live TV.

Calzaghe was shot and had brittle hands, and bloated.

I'm not saying that Green is really any better than these fighters, just that he's not any worse. Although he is probably better than Starie, Veit, Mkrtchyan and a half dead Roy Jones.

Even look at Robin Reid. Previous to the Calzaghe fight he'd lost to a 42 year old Malinga and then immediately after the SD loss to Calzaghe was comfortably outboxed by Silvio Blanco.

And Reid is considered one of Calzaghe's best opponents.

 

Well id say Green on par with a lot of Calzaghes resume yea , no better no worse. Difference is for calzaghe these names are blasted but for ward , greeen is actually being herladed as a good win,

Reid beat Ottke but for hometown cookings.

Reid lost 116-111 by 2 judges cards, and Calzaghe had a broken hand for teh whole fight atschatschatschatsch

It was only a SD because it was in England and Reid was English.

RJJ was off a big winning streak and showed all his old speed and footwork, infact, over half teh people on ESB picked RJJ to beat Joe.

Veit would kill Green, Greens completely useless, Veit beat Brewer.

Calzaghe has beaten 11 world champions and Bika alone would demolish Green.

Bika would give Ward hell, infact, with Wards shakey chin, no reason he couldn

Veit - who beat Brewer, Lock and Braehmer the current WBO LHW champ and just a point Veit only lost to fighters who were world champs or became world champs. Better than Green

Mkertchyan - who before Calzaghe had only lost to a fighter who became a world champ and after being beat by Calzaghe went on to beat the undefeated SMW European champ 26-0 Jackson Chanet who had a win over Tsypko, before Tsypko looked unlucky against Lacy. Better than Green

Half dead Roy Jones? Who was in The Ring top 10 LHWs at the time and not a SMW but still id argue he was better at that time than Green

Reid - Was a fighter that sometimes performed well and other times didnt, against Malinga he didnt do much and same as with S Branco who years later was a suitable opponent for Pascal who is fighting Dawson for the LHW Ring belt but still Reid was WBC champ and looked unlucky by many against Ottke, so think if Reid was WBC champ and had of got the decision over Ottke he would have won WBC WBA IBF titles. Reid also beat undefeated Magee who is now European SMW champ. Better than Green

Green lost to Miranda who has been KOd whenever he stepped up
