But he might never better his resume, its only speculation both ways. We have to accept what is real and what is fact and thats done by taking the boxers records as they are not what they could/should be.

I was actually sat thinking about this earlier today. I'm far from a Calzaghe lover, i think he's overrated and who has'nt got the best resume, but i'd of shot a few £ on him against Ward

Roy Jones, Jr. (born January 16, 1969 in Pensacola, Florida)

Roy Jones was 40 on January 16th 2009.

Calzaghe v Jones took place on November 8th 2008, meaning Jones was 39.

Pwned again. You are officially a moron and you have been thrashed twice now.

Ward fights like an old hopkins. A young Prime Joe yes i belive beats. him. Joe would just be to unpredictable. for him to study. Ward says he has a fromless style like Cal who he actually admires along with Bruce lee. but his style is more B-hop then Cal. joe beats him 7-5 or 8-4

Unbeaten this, alphabet that, it really doesn't mean much you know. The simple fact is that all those names you mention are simply not anything special, people know what they see with their own two eyes, and even if they are better than Green it's not by much.

In fact the only names that stick out Calzaghe's record as being significantly better than Green are Eubank, Bika, Kessler and Hopkins.

I think this question might be better being asked in about five years time.

 Ive just given you the details and you have gone from saying Green is not any worse to even if they are better than Green its not by much.
    They are better than Green.
Other names on Calzaghes record also significantly better than Green are - Reid who also only lost to world champs or fighters who became (already mentioned)
    - Starie (already mentioned)
    - Woodhall who also only lost to world champs
    - Veit (already mentioned)
    - Brewer
    - Mitchell 2 time WBA champ
    - Mkertchyan (already mentioned)
    - Lacy
    - Jones

Now Sheika & Salem are around the same level as Green, Manfredo although probably not better on paper would quite possibly beat Green

I think it's a good fight. Calzaghe struggled with Hopkins awkward style. Ward also is very fast. I think at their peaks you would have 2 very evenly matched, intelligent, fast, mentally strong fighters with home advantage probably being deceisive.

Well Calzaghe proved he is willing to travel and Ward is not, having to have his first 3 fights of the super 6 at home as part of his agreement

bailey, going through boxrec and looking up unbeaten runs, wins/loses against former or future alphabet champs or who held a World title at a particular time does not convince me, I go on what I see when fighters get in the ring.

For a start the WBA and WBC straps got passed around more than a joint at Woodstock during Calzaghe's WBO days. It was a very weak division and you didn't have to be all that good to pick up either of these titles, so I don't pay a great deal of attention to it.

I don't want to repeat myself or waist my time so just leave you to it.

    BTW, David Starie:lol::patsch

You go by what you see in the ring . Green losing to Miranda and not trying against Ward.
Still Wards one of Americas best SMWs, so how bad can he really be.

You may not repeat yourself but you change your mind alot, first of all you claim Green to be probably better than Starie, then not much worse, and now your saying BTW Starie. Well thats right Starie who holds a win over C Woods, who does Green hold a win over
