The Muhammad Ali fights where he clinched all the time sucked. The ones where he didn't were awesome.

That is a fair enough point but rabbit punching still happens in that type of situation now.

No way rabbit punching should be allowed. Fighters should be made to fight out of the clinch more, not just breaking it up like Bayless does. And yes...it should be penalized for sure if it's clearly initiated by 1 fighter excessively.

The only guys he can outbox are smaller men. Broner was never a good "boxer" really.

Couldn't agree more. I say a clinch should be considered the same as taking a knee. You concede to your opponent that I need to take a break from the ass whopping you're putting on me at the moment, please stop punching me!

It is sometimes the same as taking a knee but without the penalty. How about a rule that if the ref has to break up a clinch he gives a standing eight count to somebody?

an ear should be at least 3 points off.

an arm should be a automatic DQ.

Yep. Also when fighters come together and end up in a clinch they should be given an opportunity to fight out of it. A lot of fans don't mind a rough 'n dirty fight, just not the ole punch'n'clinch style.

Clinching - Floyd Mayweather's biggest asset.

Clinching is the worst, it's even worse than running. Unfortunately, Floyd does all of the worst things, hence his name Duck Runhugger Jr.

    Not by a long shot.

Klitschko has a video on youtube compiling all of his illegal clinches against Povetkin. It lasts 25 minutes. He clinched the entirety of the fight.
The worst clincher the sport has ever produced.
