I hate Max Kellerman. .

i don't understand the hatred either. i think a lot of people are still a bit perturbed by his excitable, fanboy persona at espn, which carried over to his first few shows at hbo. he's matured considerably over the past few years, taking a page from the subdued larry merchant's style. his tone of voice is normally calm, and he excels at really concise, insightful nuggets. i was so-so on him at espn, but have really grown an appreciation for him.

but can we all agree that bruce buffer is the absolute worst ring announcer? simply horrible, really.

I am of the minority in that I actually like Kellerman. I dont think he is the most eloquent of announcers, but for the most part, he calls it like he sees it.

Kellerman made some good points about the ABCs. But his argument that the lineal champion should be considered champion doesn't hold any water. The lineal Champ should ONLY be recognised as Champion if he indeed fights the best in the division; well, they often don't! Often, they win the belt from a have-been who wasn't themselves by then the best in the division, and then they defend it against some other have-beens, until some young gun gets a shot, by which time, the win means nothing, since the old man was faded anyway...and the young gun then defends the lineal title against some more have-beens ("for legacy") instead of the best in the division, and so on...

In these circumstances, I'd rather stick with the ABC's and call Champion whom I consider the best in the division.

 

I'm not a huge Kellerman fan, but I do think his radio show on EPSN is rather good. Check it out sometime.

 

Kellerman has far too many homoerotic themes to him. You see him salivate over the guys.

 

In regards to your 2nd point what was wrong with that?
I mean rocky puts cassa threw the ropes and on his ass and stuns him on several occasions and then the fukwit turns around and says Katsidis doesn't have power:huh
Im not sure how that cuban cockhead could hold a straight face while saying Kat had no power:fire

 

Max is acceptable to what standard?Merchant buries the twit and his deranged eyes makes him look like a crazed coyote.His cheer leading makes him look foolish.:-(
