These days refs are so quick to protect fighters

Kovalev wanted to kill and put a beating on pascal in the last fight but the ref saved his life **** sake i get really annoyed when refs detroy the fight

The only time they should stop the fight is if the fighter says so himself

Kovalev would of permanent damaged pascal if the ref never saved his life

I only don't like it when that fighter who was saved then talks about it being a premature stoppage. In pascals case this is true same with groves

  3. Yes it's very sad when a fighter is stopped from finishing the job.

I believe kovalev will push the ref out of the way tonight if he stops the fight prematurely and stands in front to protect Pascal.

The refs should just stay out of it

Hey this is professional boxing. The goal should be to destroy the opponent.

It's what the fans want and you can't lose if you KO your opponent.

I'm sure you'd feel the same way if it were your father, your brother or in your case, your boyfriend out there

I agree completely , I don't want to see fighters get hurt but when they then use referees saving them because they are going to get seriously hurt and then turn it around and say they were okay is very annoying. Lemieux is another one, he couldn't land at all and was getting beaten to a pulp and had no good moments the idiot turns around at the press conference and says he doesn't hit that hard, I wasn't hurt and he wants a rematch.

it would be like in soccer if the referees just called off games when teams go like 5-0 down, and then the manager coming out after and saying they shouldn't have stopped it we were just getting into our groove

The goal IS to destroy your opponent, which is fine. The ref has a job too.

I know OP ain't referring to Bayless saving Floyd from Maidana bomb. The contract states that Maidana cannot hurt Floyd at anytime.

You're in a lot of pain aren't you?

No normal person with a good life would type such a thing.:deal

The ref saved Kostya Tszyu's life against Vince Phillips..and I'm glad he did.:hi:

The goal of a fighter is to destroy the opponent. The ref has a goal too. To not let a fighter take too much punishment.
