It's not the same Pac anymore and the same can be said for DLH. I don't know why some people keep on bringing up that low blow loss to Torrecampo. It pretty much exposes in a bad way how you analyze fights.

Nah... he needed to keep sharp but he also needed to knock this small guy out to make a statement. That's what the HBO commentary were also saying and that's what the fans were expecting, not a sparring session. Instead, he allowed his face to get busted up just to get a good work out? That's a rubbish idea and it's even more rubbish if it were true.

Why is it rubbish. Everyone and their cat were saying that Oscar's stamina is ****. He was getting ready for a fight with PBF. Why the hell would he want to knock this little guy out if he is working on his stamina. Yes, of course you thinking that he could do this with sparring. It is not the same. If we are right, Roach is going to be out of a job. I am more curious to know if Oscar is going to fight one more after this. He is doing this for the money and he owe's all of us one more good fight before he hangs them up; Margarito. I am sorry, who gives a rat's ass what the HBO commentators want.

Then, Hoya is shot or close to that, because there is no way that you can tell me that a prime Hoya would have had performed that way. Hoya is not the same boxer we used to see, but a guy like Forbes is not at Hoya's level.

That busted face was done by one uppercut and was the reason Oscar was pacing back and forth angrily after he won a dominating fight. What I was looking for during the fight was whether Oscar could go twelve rounds without tiring as this was the main question during the buildup to the second Mayweather fight. I think Oscar did want to take him out in the eleventh or twelfth, by the time he dropped that heavy left hook (don't remember what round that was as I've only seen it once). Anyway, I think his plan was to carry Forbes deep into the rounds to test stamina and then take him out at the end. He succeeded in one but couldn't finish him and got caught with a crushing upppercut.

I might not agree on what you said above but just the same.
We are on the same boat! I also want Pac to pull a close-to-a-miracle win over the favored ODHL!

So if Oscar is taking a fight in where he might get hurt(IYO), why are you so against this fight?

I'm a big Pac fan but we all need to stop dreaming. The fight will end whenever Hoya wants it to. I think Hoya is going to go easy on Pac for the first couple of round and then turn it up around the mid round. The fight will not look good if it ends too fast so Hoya will back of on the trigger till he feels it's the right time.

I agree! He'll size up pac and see how "light" his punches are. If he feels pac is an easy fight, he'll try to prolong the fight a little bit to make it more exciting for the fans.

I guess after two or three rounds we will already now how the fight will last. (in case it lasts for two to three rounds!)

As a pac fan, I'm still hoping pac can pull a close-to-a miracle win over ODLH! However, I am aware that logic dictates that ODLH can win easily over Pac!

Freddie Roach is a 50 year old virgin who doesn't need more then 10 buks an hour to survive first of all.

Second he is already rich as hell.... Why would he need the money??

Not only that he stated that if Manny loses he won't charge him nothing for training.

Maybe it's not official but I believe him.
    Roach ain't greedy

Cause Oscar wont' get hurt enough :D

I'd be more happy if Cotto or Margarito would really retire his ass to an some high class medical center.

I feel that beating he will lay on Oscar just won't satisfy me.
But in reality De La Hoya is just being a big no balls bully.

Just wait till after December 6th and call me a genius.

but De La Hoya batters Manny based on what??

When did he batter a good fighter. He managed to find a way to lose a fight against every great fighter, and in his fight with STURM I generously gave him ONE round.

People make a big deal about size, but Pacman ain't no bum and De La Hoya ain't no King Kong.

I think speed and relentlessness of Manny will make all the difference.

And De La Hoya's jab won't work on southpaw Manny.

    Different power....

Vargas had slower, heavyer hands that made thunderous punches.

Manny has explosive out of now where, boom and you're on your ass type punches. Those are the ones that stunn you, cut you up and the number of punches that he follows up with help him end the fight.

    Completey different comparison.
