I hate to say it because the guy is great for the sport, but Pac is overrated...

But then again, so is Mayweather...

Starting with Pac, like Mayweather Sr, says, he doesn't move his head. And that's mostly true because Pac does move his head, but not enough to dodge the punches Mayweather will throw at him.

I mean he'll dodge some every here and there, but for the most part, Mayweather will be very precise.

And really Pac style and stance fits the profile of a fighter who Mayweather excells against.

Although Pac does have attributes and intangibles that make him a great fighter, especially his speed, determination, and ability to throw from multiple angles with combination punching, I'm not sure it will be enough to overcome Mayweather's precise technical skill and outstanding reflexes.

    HOWEVER,

As I said, Mayweather is overrated too.

For one, Mayweather has never fought a great fighter. He fought a version of De La Hoya who fought like a mummy, (which is what happens when a guy like De La Hoya with his style gets old), a guy in Hatton who is solid, but doesn't have the intellect nor skills to do anything other than try to mug Mayweather, and Marquez who not only was smaller but was TAILOR MADE for Mayweather to look good against.

His best win was against Corrales who, while a dangerous puncher, was never very good to begin with because he has no jab and let's face it, very limited skills as he was really nothing more than a slugger.

And what this means is that Mayweather has never truly been tested with anyone that had much of a chance against him, with the exception of De La Hoya who's only chance was his size and Mayweather's lack of punching power.

So what we don't know is if Mayweather has the heart and fortitude to survive and perserver if he ever is forced into a fight.

Mayweather also lacks power, and while Mayweather should be able to exploit every flaw that Pac has, his lack of power has the potential to make this an interesting fight.

Still though, while most may not agree with what I said from either point, it's evident if you watch film of fighters from Robinson's era. You see how the elite at that point in time were actually good fighters with a chance at a potential upsets.

Mayweather tried to say things about Robinson to discount his credibility, but he could do things in the ring that Mayweather has never done, and it's not because Mayweather is that good, it's because his competition has never been good enough.

People claim Mayweather to be one of the greatest ever, in the sense that he stand side by side next to Robinson.

Do you believe that to be true?

It makes sense when you compare it to a historical perspective. You got guys like Manny Steward saying that Pac is the best fighter he's ever seen.

    To me that's crazy.

It's probably the same as yours.

What the **** does that mean though?

If you read anything I said, there ain't nobody out there really to challenge Mayweather.

Actually you can't say that PAC's style is one that Floyd excells against b/c he's never seen a style like PACs. PAC is also very accurate while throwing more punches. The combination punching will keep Floyd on the defense which he's use to and great at. But he won't be use to staying on "D" that much which will cause Floyd many problems.

Floyd's movement, elusiveness and Jab will casue PAC problems b/c he'll be at a size disadvantage with Floyd.....not necessiarly the strenght or power disadvantage but mroe the physical demensions.

I do agree Floyd will out point PAC but it will be his hardest and closest fight of his career. And ultimately his best win hands down.

Over-rated or not, Pac's great for boxing. For the first time in my life I read an article in the Economist about boxing and it was a feature on Pacquiano. Amazing if you think about it, since the Economist and boxing go together about as well as oil and water.

Stewart never said that. He said that PAC is one of the best! And can now be mentioned with names like ALI and Robinson.

    Pac and Mayweather...

    But ****...

    Let's be real...

A couple of decades ago, they wouldn't even be the top fighters in the welterweight division.

That's cuz you don't really understand boxing.

I mean, you see two guys fighting, but you don't really get what their doing in the ring.

Like you couldn't really break it down. You could try...

But if you knew what I was talking about, you wouldn't be rollin your eyes.
