But this is the point: Duran, Hearns, Leonard, Benitez.

Your argument, as I understand it is that Pacquiao is overrated because there aren't at least three top thirty ATG boxers in the same division at the same time.

But that's not exactly an unusual situation. Top thirty ATG fighters are somewhat thin on the ground. By definition there can only be thirty of them! And they are often not recognised as such until after their career is done and reflected on.

I'm pretty sure Pacquiao's career work will be well admired in future years.

Anyone who says that Mayweather is the greatest are doing so because there haven't been to many fighters that had PBF's combination of technical ability to go along with his physical gifts.

Most fighters either rely to much on there physical gifts. Or can only rely on there technical skills. But there haven't been to many fighters that have been able to or have put it together the way the Mayweather has.

He can game plan or adapt to any style because he KNOWS boxing that well. If you fight one way he will counter you with its weakness. If you fight another way he can adapt and counter you with its weakness. If your style has a weakness he will expose it. Then to top it off his physical gifts to go along with his great boxing mind just make it unfair. People say he dominated his opponents because he didn't fight nobody special. But he also fought many many styles and sometimes fought fighters in 4-5 different styles throughout a fight. People also say styles make fights and he has fought almost every style and the only time he was given any work was when he tore his shoulder. He also broke his hand vs Carlos Hernandez and still out boxed him for the next 4rds.

Now Im not saying he is the greatest ever. But I am saying that he is actually underrated on this board based on perceptions. People are going to soon find out that there is perception and that there is reality. And the reality will set in when he fight Pacman and or Mosley.

Well if people claim they are easily 2 of the 10 best all time fighters, then OK no problem we canagree on them being overrated...but they happen to be 2 of the best in the game today, therefore they are overrated in what sense ?

I'm sure we can find flaws watching clips of Sugar Ray Robinson fighting...what then ? Is he overrated too ?

Henry Armstrong looks better than Pac.

And Floyd is a different fighter than Armstrong, so you can't really make that comparison as Armstrong is a aggressive and Mayweather is defensive.

Armstrong moves his head and does things that Pac was never trained to do.

    bull**** he does:

    [yt]_RSxuglJYi4[/yt]

his footwork is slow. his head movement very slow, he's not as explosive, not as fast, keeps his hands on his chest. If you didnt know who the guy was, you'd think he was a poor man's hatton. The guy looks like a stationary target.

    [yt]tcUXK0y_-7E[/yt]

You gonna tell me Pac has no head movement? His able to duck a hook and KD his opponent at the same time...
