Please read before you assholes start talking ****

When I watch the fight live on Saturday night, I was thinking that Paul williams would have an easy night. Laura landed some goods shots and at the end of the fight (WITHOUT SCORING the Fight) I thought PAul Williams loss the fight!!!!

Then I watch the fight again and now I think that Paul did when the fight! Lara got the same problem that Glenn Johnson have and that is no ring generalship. Lara would land a big shot (which would hurting Paul for the majority of the fight) then he would hold and paul williams would keep hitting him (hitting him in the head, arms, back, and face). I must admit it wasn't really hardshots but he kept hitting him. Laura never look in control of the fight, the majority of the fight he was running, then he would land a big left hand that wasn't followed up by another shot. LAura would then hold and be looking to survive until the next round. I never seen Lara back Paul Williams up or look like he was in control. Paul Williams inability to block that wild left hand punch is what kept the fight competetive.

Lara is like Glen Johnson. Glenn Johnson has no ring gerneralship. Glen will win the first two and half minutes of a round and loss the round in the final 30 seconds because he dosen't know how to back off a little it. Glenn only fights going forward and exchanging punches. The majority of the time he is in the oppenents hometown so whenever the opponent punches and it lands or miss the hometown go crazy and it confuses the dumb ass judges. If Glenn would back off a little in the rounds where he dominate he would of win alot fight everybody tought he won.

i thought lara used excellent footwork and controlled the fight with his fast punches and left hand. williams was just getting pounded on and lara was way more effective with his punches agaiunst williams. williams showed terrible defense, and could do nothing to stop lara from hitting him

I'm sorry JJ, but Williams lost bad!!! I had Lara ahead winning 10 of the rounds. Williams was getting nailed hard with Lara's left all night, it was not missing and it wasn't wild. I was a well timed left just like Martinez left.

Just look at Paul after the fight he had the look of a beaten man, just look at his whole team, there were no smiles in Williams corner.

Paul Williams won because of his name. Nothing more, nothing less. He got beaten but because he has a name, he was able to pull out the win. Fights like this are sad. Usually the unknown puts his name up against the other guys name and if he doesn't do more than enough to get a blatant win, he might just get a benefit of the doubt victory.

I wouldn't go that far, but this fight was far closer than the HBO commentators made it seem.
