I would be more sympathetic to him if he had retired after he beat Charr. If he had done that I would have said "I might not have been a fan but you've got to respect his success and he's earnt a place amungst the top teir of heavyweights in history even if his resume can be questionable", but now my reaction will be "Finally! He's been hanging around too long doing nothing, he wont be missed."

I am hoping that there is a chance that Vitali will fight one more fight. Vitali has already stopped Arreola who is #2 WBC. Stiverne is tied up in court with Don King, can't fight anyone until the court decision comes in, so that leaves the America hero/savior Wilder who is ranked #3 WBC without fighting anyone nearly ranked. Vitali should go ahead and knock Wilder out for his retirement party, easy knockout................The haters have wanted both Klitschkos to retire for years now. They hate them because they have been beating up all their heroes and they are angry, sour grapes it is...........

Oh, granted if he had retired after he beat Charr he would be missed because he has, historically, been the more exciting Klitschko and been involved in the more entertaining fights, but he's spent far too long inactive and no one will miss an inactive champion.

Apparently, he's not going to ****, but he is getting off the pot at this point.

He has been declared Champion emeritus, leaving open the possibility of a return in the future. There will now be a bout to determine the new WBC champ.

Given his age (42.5) and current events in Ukraine, it's unlikely Vitali will be back.

Wlad is almost 38. The Klitschko years are coming to a close.

Seeing as how no one has come remotely close to beating either brother in nearly a decade, I am not sure the era is coming to a close. Vitali may be done, is most likely done, and clearly he has a bigger and more important battle to fight. Wladimir could still be around for another 4-5 years.

He should definitely retire (likely is already). He's not the fighter he was when he came back the first time and destroyed Peter. He's had an amazing run and should go out on top

When Vitali came back The Iron Curtain descended over the hw division.
This is the cold hard truth.:smoke

Wlad will take care rest of these disgraces for few more years but unfortunately rest of the bushmen like Anhtony Joshua will be coming through when Wlad is retired.

But I am not gonna fall in sorrow because weather report promises us that Cold Wind is blowing from the East for long time.:deal
