Seriously can't they just promote it as "Silva (or GSP) vs. some ****ing guy, who knows..." (bring back the days of Tank Abbott getting the same-day call to action while sitting on a barstool) and do about as well in PPV #'s?

I'd love to see him fulfill his dream, and make it right on Saturday.. It's a new day when you win the Gold.

 

That's kinda how most of The Spider's previous title defenses were promoted. But Sonnen gave him fits and took Silva down repeatedly during their first fight and was way up on the cards when he got tagged and then caught in a triangle choke.

Hence the reason, along with Sonnen's relentless verbal attacks on Silva, why this fight is so anticipated.

Thing is, if Sonnen wins, it'll be excruciating to watch, since he's all about position control and ground and pound. If Silva wins, it might be more aesthetically pleasing, at ant rate...which is why I'm personally rooting for The Spider.

 

Plus it is Tito Ortiz swan song.

I like it......I´m looking forward to Mendez vs McKenzie.

 

I think it's a pretty nice card, overall. Outside of the Mendes fight, which he should win dominantly, all of the matches look very competitive.

To be honest I'm a bit taken aback at how hyped this fight is. I can't see it being anything but a brutal Silva stoppage this time around. Cote should finish Cung Lee pretty handily as well.

Should still be great viewing though.
