There's not been too many cases though, I wouldn't put Floyd as a showboat fighter personally, in fact I think his professionalism during and after fights is fairly underrated.

I suppose when your that much better than your opponents it would be a massive ego boost. Make you show off a bit.

Unless the opponent has been a complete ***** in the build up there is absolutely no need for it. How anyone can say arrogance is a good/endearing trait is beyond me.

I don't like showboating. Makes me want to kick the guy in the nuts. If you're that much f*cking better than the dude, then finish the fight.

showboaters often lack the power, to just end the fight.

Perhaps if you are a serious, old school, boxing purist or maybe when you have competed yourself showboating can rub you up the wrong way. I can understand those who view it as crass or unnecessary or un-gentlemanly but I have to say, speaking for the more casual fan I can't get enough of it. I love showboating and I love showboaters. Roy Jones Jr, Hector Camacho, Naseem Hamed - none of them would be the same without their natural flair for showmanship, it was part of their style, their identity as a fighter. Even Floyd, who's fights I never got too excited about could get me onside with a smile and a gesture (think the lean & look at the rope vs Canelo) and another example would be of showboating gone wrong, Broner dry-humping Maidana before Chino turned the tables on him, giving boxing fans a cherished memory. Showboating is good for the sport.

I got no problem with showboaters at all, but when you have to go 12rounds with the guy you are showboating and thoroughly outclassing, usually there is something wrong with your power.

I appreciate boxers and skills as much as the next guy but you dont get paid for overtime. Get Rid of him!

Fair enough I guess. Still don't really like it.
